I know this has undoubtedly been talked about to death in the past few hours and I'm not adding anything to an 'hours-old discussion necessarily, but fucking seeing the Kingston stuff from tonight...they sound the best they've ever sounded. Matt and Mark harmonise really well and Matt just fucking rules. As someone who isn't an avid fan but seriously used to be, it's just nice to see. Happy for them.

How many Chris' in the world do you think have the lyrics, "How's Chris marked with lipstick" tattooed on them?

 

That improv song was from the second/later set, they also jokingly played the intro section to Wendy Clear because a lot of people were chanting for it. Mark sang "Let's take the boat out of the bay..." and then was like "Na we're not going to play it"

 

I loved the way Matt sang that "underwear" chorus in the 2nd joke song. Too late to end California with that instead? Haha

 

It's weird that Bored To Death sounds the worst acoustic, haha. All the other songs sound great, though it's weird to hear Tom's verse on I Miss You without any of this specific inflections and flair

Always felt like Anthem was an underrated song. But I think I'm in the minority there.

 

I thought they weren't going to play it and then suddenly they started it, thinking to myself "this can't be happening" and then stopped after the first line. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

 

I feel like it's super underrated especially since it closes their biggest album and I never hear it mentioned by anybody. Plus it's great.

 

Second Kingston acoustic show was incredible too.

Added Built This Pool, Always .... and a cover of 'A New England'.

So so good. Skiba is king. They are having the best time.

It can be both but in all seriousness Matt is leaps and bound better than Tommy.

 

Also, does Matt sound to anyone else like Motion City Soundtrack during Down? I mean that in a good way, it just reminded me of Justin for some reason.
