The only thing that makes me curious is that last year's Hallowe'en event was explicitly called such in the text, so the fact they've called it something different is strange if possibly a coincidence.

 

I'm just excited for anything new to be honest. I sound like a broken record, but I really have no desire to play to the point where I missed my streaks the other day. I think it's about time for PvP, level cap raise, and gen 4. So, anything new at this point would be nice.

a bunch of Albany folks are organizing a day trip to NYC just for Unown. that’s prob 4 hours each way with Saturday traffic. i’m not hardcore enough for that

 

im seeing thrice tomorrow in NYC so im gonna try to catch as many as i can. im getting in to late for raids which is a bummer because raids in NYC are so dang easy to find and do. catching 100 unowns will be my consolation prize.

 

Just got a notification in the game for a Psychic event. There were no details though.

EDIT: It would seem like it starts tomorrow and includes boosted Psychic type spawns and shiny Drowzee. It remains to be seen if Unown will spawn more frequently

 

i just feel like shinys are such a cop out. why come up with something more fun and creative for a specific type of event when you can just make a yellow pokemon lighter yellow and call it special.

People in my local group are driving down from Maine. Wild shit haha. That said, I am jealous of all the Unowns!!

 

It goes to show that Niantic really knows what they are doing and did a great job at getting players interested again. People literally planning trips to catch Pokemon is pretty wild/awesome. I knew as soon as I lost interest they would get me back in at some point with a new event. Really hoping to stock up on some Ralts candy during the psychic event.
