Goodbye Sky Harbor is cool for a full listen every once in awhile, but it's my least favorite closer from their core albums by a pretty fair margin.

My second to last band played our final show that night so I missed that tour when it came to Chicago (at small cap venue no less!). I regret it to this day.

  6. Sky Harbor Airport was close to the venue so planes were flying to and from there while my brother and i were waiting in line and we were so happy. haha.

I have a nine-hour drive to Vermont next week and I'm considering just plowing through JEW's catelog front to back. Fall, Scenic drive and JEW might just be heaven.

I was just talking with my wife about what we are going to listen to while driving to Florida on Saturday and listening through JEWs entire discography is on the list.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Y'all, Goodbye Sky Harbor shouldn't be a single second shorter than it is.

I don’t really think GSH has a pay off for how long it is

I just don’t listen to clarity that often to begin with. I think it’s because I started paying attention to this band during bleed american and didn’t go back to clarity til the chase this light era. it just holds less weight in my life than all the albums that came after it for that reason, there’s something to be said about experiencing a full jimmy eat world album cycle

The thing with clarity is, like the albums that follow it, it’s perfect

that’s true but being there for the start and finish of an album cycle makes an album take on that profound, life shattering meaning for me more often than albums I discover later down the line.

My wife is not near the hardcore fan I am but she always loves seeing them live because as she says "there's just something comforting about being in the precense of Jim Adkins" and I totally agree with that statement.

I usually opt for the iTunes session performance of GSH. I like the heavy guitars in the chorus.

I never listen to Clarity, my journey with JEW started with Bleed American so Clarity always feels like a predecessor to the band I love

That said, I discovered Lucky Denver Mint and For Me, This is Heaven around the time I bought Futures and they are some of the bands best work
