listened to Beggars on my drive to work this morning, haven't in a while. God what an album.

 

Apparently after a show dustin said beggars was getting repressed around the record store day time frame.....get your wallets ready if you don't own a copy already or variant collect

 

I've had no desire to go back to this over the past several days. Either I've already burnt myself out on it, or I overshot significantly how much I enjoyed it. It's not normal for an album like this one, with how much I really loved it immediately, to fall off like this.

It's a really weird feeling to suddenly have zero desire to listen, but maybe it's just being overwhelmed by so many big releases over the past month?

 

I've hammered it every day since release. It's a great record. I'm also taking a break to listen to some other stuff. It's definitely burnout.

 

Can't wait for this shit show...

 

It's probably my least favorite post-Vheissu album outside of M/M. Some good songs for sure but hasn't had much staying power and didn't impact me nearly as much as To Be Everywhere did. That album had such a vibe and to me this one feels more like a collection of decent Thrice tracks.

 

complete and utter shit show im sure. unless it's a RSD release and then i'll just go get it from my local shop....but only if it's some sort of a deluxe pressing with b-sides. i already have a copy and i don't really variant collect soooooooo.....

 

We don't tend to get Thrice stuff in my local record stores so if it is RSD I'll probably miss out. Happy with my red splatter pressing.

Yeah outside of three songs this album is a let down for me. I like it better than TBEITBN but it still doesn't do much for me

This was my email from yesterday (not including pics but the descriptions are there)

I'm not emailing to save myself the frustration. I imagine communication between Epitaph and KRM is non existant. I'll see what happens in a week.

Opposite reaction for me. I listen to this every day.

It’s made me come to grips with the fact that I did not think TBE was very good. I wanted it to be good because it was their triumphant return, but Palms showed me how bland that record was outside of a few standout tracks.

Palms has a few small things that I don’t care for and that keeps it from directly competing with Vheissu or Beggars, but this definitely competes with Alchemy for me.

 

This never surpassed TBEITBN for me, and I don't think it will.

 

I enjoyed Palms waaaay more than TBEITBN upon first listen. TBE grew on me, but I still like Palms way more already.

 

I've been listening to [Untitled] and the new Emery for the past couple days, but I still sneaked in a couple listen of Palms. Keeps getting better.

 

I just got the same response from kings road....

 

I can already see the bullshit with a Beggars vinyl repress.

If it manages to go on sale at like 3 a.m. pacific time like Alchemy did last year would someone be kind enough to order for me and I would cover everything?

 

I have no idea why but every time I attempt order a Thrice album something goes wrong.

 

I think it's about time Thrice and whoever their label is started doing fairer pre-sales. Pick a time & date and with reasonable notice (alchemy repress aside which wasn't their muck up).

TBEITBN went on-sale in the middle of the night where I live. When I woke up it was sold out.

 

Not to mention that when stuff does go up at a "normal" time like Palms, the website kept crashing. I missed out on one of the fancy packages because they were sold out by the time I could actually get the page to load.

 

I managed to get one but the whole process was a joke... and still is completely mucked up. I'd be super miffed too.
