them: hey John, why are are some of your tests failing? those should be passing by now.

me: did you release a new build where you changed text on the button labels and added a loading icon that blocks the screen for a split second and add 10 new columns to the grid, and get rid of the header data initial load and now I have to click a button to see it?

them: yes, but you've been writing these tests for a few months now, why aren't they done.

me: because everything just changed again. so now I have to go change my tests to run against what it looks like now. this is why we should have waited for the application to be stable and have at least the base functionality that was needed.

them: fix them in time for the next build please.

me: I will, but will that build change everything again or is all of this stuff final now?
