Was the, "legal deal for putting matt in blink is only for X amount of time, where Tom thought they would do nothing" thing debunked? I know people were saying that was why the album was *rumored* to come out when BTD was released

 

It may very well could be since Matt is an actual member of the band now.

 

Also, it really bothers me that my local radio station keeps saying " Matt Skiba formerly of Alkaline Trio ". He's still in fucking Alkaline Trio !

 

It isn't the Trio without Matt.

 

Time and money heal all wounds.

 

The only way this happens is if Skiba drops out. If Skiba wants the job, I bet it's his forever.

 

Well this is true, very true. But also I feel like if Dan left the Trio I feel like they would be done as well. It's weird you know, I'd never thought in a million years Matt would majorly push Trio away and go completely full force on something else.

No doubt, in a funny way I want this album to hit #1 just to see what Tom has to say. Because honestly if this album goes #1 I think it will knock Tom down a few notches.

dude's in a world of his own (I'm sure he literally thinks that). It'll bug him but he'll just add on 15 new projects to get his mind off of it.

 

My ideal situation would be after this Summer tour they do a huge European and maybe do a couple shows in America after that. Than hopefully they take a long well earned break and Matt will gear up for another Trio album and in my mind be the last Trio album ever.

 

15 new projects nobody will give a shit about aha.

I think Matt and Mark both sound incredible on videos of "Always" from the X Games show. Holy moly!

I almost forgot to comment on it. I can't be the only one to think this but the band sound so tight musically now. Mark is killing it on bass.

 

I meant week 1 Billboard sales haha.

Hopefully it's number 1 quality wise.

 

Mark is definitely killing it on bass. His vocals (especially on "Bored To Death") need some help though, here and there.
