As sad as this song is, i love it. I lost my grandmother last summer and this song just kicks me right in the heart.

Its amazing just how much better Nana/She Lays Down is than Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You. That one is probably my least favorite 1975 song, so I was extremely glad how gorgeous the other 2 turned out.

Is There Somebody... is phenomenal in its own way, and I actually get more messed up by that one personally.

I don't find any 1975 songs skippable but I respect the opinion

I love Is There Somebody. Not as enamored with She Lays Down on its own but I certainly wouldn’t call it “bad”, and as others have said its place in the arc and sequencing of the album is perfect.

I like both songs, but the closer on the debut is better to me. To each their own though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah. I love how the bare room and Matty's disconsolate quiver just sound like... emptiness. Takes me back to riding my bike with no hands through the streets of Philly late at night, lonely with this song on repeat.

Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You just came on shuffle and good lord, forgot how much I love this song.

    not a doctor

The MSG show was something I'll never forget.

I bought two tickets and had two friends cancel on me last minute which resulted in me missing the train to get to the city on time.

A girl I was seeing at the time worked nights so she was asleep missing all my calls asking her to come.

*ran out of grand central and frantically hailed a cab*

The bombing at the Ariana Grande concert had just happened, meaning the cab could only get so close to the arena.. so I had to sprint six blocks to MSG.

I could hear Love Me down the hall from the general admission area.. crowd goes wild as the song finishes.

I walk out onto the floor as UGH! played and was in amazement at how far the band had come. I couldn't stop looking around the arena in disbelief.

Guy in pink hoodie with two girls stands next to me. The insecure part of my brain says "I don't like this guy."

Turns out it was Jared Leto.

Makes a lot of sense in retrospect.

Concert ends, girl I was seeing calls me and asks me how the night was.. playing it all coy. I walk into Grand Central and there she is waiting to surprise me. We get dinner in the city, we go home.

    The rest is history.

Woahhhhhh what, why does everyone here hate Jared Leto?! He's a beast; literally. I feel like him/30 Seconds to Mars kinda sold out this most recent album, but their earlier works are amazing! And he's a great actor. Is he a dick or something? What am I missing?

he's big pile o' shit who treats people (especially women) terribly and is a super overrated actor/musician.

things have never been stranger Prestigious

He's an alleged rapist and serial abuser of women and is, by all accounts, terrible to work with on set. Unrelated, 30 Seconds to Mars are not good.
