Lyric has to be talking about an innocent human turning violent in the face of other violence, right?

 

Still one if my favorite songs by this band.

I’m so super duper excited for this. I can’t stop thinking about how badly I want to hear just this new single, nonetheless the whole thing.

For those who have the album, out of curiosity, any f-bombs in this one? I just remember being super surprised at the line in Rainbow Signs.

In my position, I can’t really recommend music with the word “fuck” in it, but I like to show these teenagers good music, so I just have to be more subtly with it if things are more explicit.

 

There are no swear words on it.

On the ep, I think my favorite song is Kristy. I don’t see anyone loving it here but that song is so great. Like a soft blues progression.

 

Definitely a good thing for me. Haha.

 

To heck with all the F-bombs Aaron did.

 

Kristy is sick. The organic elements like the vocals & lead guitar blend so nicely with the electronic-ish elements of the drums & warped acoustic guitar. And lets not discount that melody. My goodness.

 

I can’t believe Kristy and Hydra came out of the same sessions. Most dynamic band ever.

 

I just can’t imagine my life without this band. The day they call it quits I will 100% cry

 

Only band I've ever cried for is Anberlin cause they were MY band for so long and their breakup announcement felt so sudden at the time. I'd definitely be emotional for mewithoutYou too. One of only a few bands I can think of that would do that to me.

 

The only band that I’ve ever loved, and stayed in love until the end, that has broken up... didn’t really break up. Just poof. Gone. For good reason. I don’t really want to hear from them again.

I said goodbye to Yellowcard in 2007, because they were my favorite band then, and I just didn’t care much by the time they came back.

I had to say goodbye to Thrice in 2012, because I didn’t think they were coming back.

I honestly felt like Pale Horses was a final album. So I kind of said my goodbyes in 2015. I’m happy to be wrong.

 

The tour with Anberlin and mewithoutYou was great.

 

I didn't see it, but that would have been a fun combo.

 

I cried when As Cities Burn broke up but I was also in like a super emotional spot at the time

 

i broke and listened to hydra. straight up teared up at the end. this band is so special to me.

 

between these two songs and the ep i feel like this band is clicking on all cylinders right now. like i'm sooo crazy stoked to see what they did on the lp. feel like its going to be a musical moment of the decade

 

Okay. Should I listen once? Or should I stay strong?

I know that nobody gives a care at all, but my patience is so thin.

 

on hydra the way aaron steadies himself on the brink of total meltdown is totally reminiscent of brother,sister. i get heavy porcupine and even january vibes. i can't believe this band has done this.
