i don’t get why they’re upset about it. i don’t think rivers personally kicked him off? at no point did rivers walk over to security (he left the stage to go to a different stage and play two songs acoustically though), so my guess is they told security before their set “hey keep this cleared” and that’s what happened.

could be totally wrong, but cypress hill just seems upset that ~they~ weren’t allowed on stage

I may be at emo night tonight bc my friend won free tickets but plans keep changing for me so i truly don't even know what's happening.

Also I forgot to say last night but i feel like sum 41 handled starting late from technical difficulties incredibly well, and I liked flogging mollys medley of songs during the bridge of one of theres, including a nod to aretha franklin.

 

Pretty sure after Direct Hit I’m heading to Metro if Emo night is still happening

Last night was pretty great. Standouts were The Aquabats, Sum 41, Flogging Molly and Weezer.

Taking Back Sunday was good as usual, but my wife has been nonstop ranting about how fantastic Bleachers was, so I def goofed.

Today is going to be a much needed chill day. Currently just laying in the park waiting for Beach Bunny.

CHORUS! Plan my day in between BB and Wolfmother, and then in between that and Interpol. Then obvi party with Andrew WK.

 

I'll be in a black Jackass shirt today. Again, I'm very tall. Getting there early since my friends want to watch The Frights, so I'll just be wandering around until about 4 or so.

 

also, regarding the drama between cypress hill / weezer.

this doesn’t make sense, because weezer went on at 8:45 and i believe cypress hill played until 9:15?

 

Matt & Kim stole the show yesterday. What a set! So so so much fun! I went in knowing only a few songs of theirs but left feeling like a huge fan.

Saw The Fever 333, Liz Phair, K.Flay, Sum 41, The Front Bottoms end, Matt & Kim, Bleachers, Taking Back Sunday, Young The Giant, and Weezer.... everyone was a great time. I was very pleased by how the night went. So, so good. Going to hit up some Chicago destinations today and then get back in time for Wolfmother hopefully.

Also, that was the perfect Weezer set because I knew everything and I never felt like a huge Weezer fan growing up... it was the perfect set.

I mean, Weezer still had 45 minutes left of their set when Cypress ended, so the timetable isn't completely whack

This makes it sound like Sen went to see Weezer after CH’s set, and when he got there, security kicked only Sen out, and no one else

Yesterday was great. The Front Bottoms were so much fun and Bleachers stile the show. Love that they got the sundown set, and it seemed like a great turnout. Weezer was great as well! Also found out I’m technically a VIP and get $2 drinks and free water so RIP to me.

Showing my friend around a little today then heading in around 3 hopefully. Got tickets to emo night yesterday so I’m stoked for that.

 

i’ll be there way late today, just to catch the end of elvis costello, interpol, and a bit of beck.

will also be at emo night — down to grab drinks if you (and anyone else from chorus going) are!
