This is just so stupid.

The AP should absolutely call this false, fullstop. Even if they are skittish about standing up for the 3,000 figure (though they shouldn’t be), you can still call it false because the democrats had nothing to do with coming up with that figure. Independent investigations by journalists and agencies came up with that number.

yeah... probably means their house estimate is overly optimistic to me too

I still have a gut feeling that we're gonna lose 2-3 seats in the senate, maybe eek out a slim majority in the house -- which'll be just enough for Republicans to be able to blame Dems for anything that goes wrong in the next two years and then come 2020 we won't get any more gains.

Ya I was surprised by it. If you go to specific models used you can see the more conservative model which, while favorable for the Dems, it's not 3 to 1 odds
