The idea that Sasha/Bayley arent competing for the tag belt, but Fox and Kelly Kelly are, is really peak WWE if true. And teaming them with Ivory v the Riott Squad is really nonsensical. Naomi/Melina is weird as well.

Also, the way that looks, unless they are making Nattie/Beth champs, the first womens tag champs would probably be the IIconics.

 

had the same thought. maybe they want to crown champions first then have sasha and bayley chase until mania (that's a long time..maybe the rumble?)...otherwise i don't see why they steered away from their feud the way they did...but i also don't see a reason for a lot of things creative does so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Who are they chasing? None of those teams are formidable, I can't see Beth staying full time while Adam is filming in Ireland or whatever

Naomi mentioned in an interview that she would like to face Melina so either that's true or whoever made up that fake card read that interview as well lol

after almost a year of mindlessly fucking with two of your most over women, anyone other than bayley & sasha winning the first ever tag belts just seems bad

the iiconics aren't even given real time on the show right now. look at their wikipedia for example, it's like two sentences long.

 

I've said before, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have women's tag team titles on smackdown because they don't have enough time to even put on more than one women's match on the show. Raw could literally have an entire hour devoted to women's matches but instead pushes Alexa bliss and Ronda rousey for 20 minute promos, while Sasha and bayley have an occasional 5 minute tag team match against Dana Brooke and Alicia fox. If Vince could've he would've made trish and Kelly moolah type champions forever. I'm both scared and excited to see what happens when Bianca comes up next year.

 

It'd be defended across brands, I actually think it'd mean the IIconics would spend more time on RAW than Smackdown.

But, if Sasha/Bayley arent winning the thing, then they've wasted a year of both of their careers for nothing.

That would mean he holds it through the Rumble. Meaning there'd have to be at least one more heel he faces and defeats before ultimately losing. I honestly dont know who's left...Nak, Rusev, Joe would all be gone, and that'd basically leave Orton. Which, no thanks.
