Would anyone want to either buy my State Champs aftershow ticket, or trade for a Sum 41 aftershow ticket?

Last year he closed against Jawbreaker.

Which was annoying, because Andrew WK is mighty fun live.

Speaking of this - has anyone seen a show at the Chrome space in Wicker Park? Usually these types of shows suck because there's minimal viewing and terrible sound. Guess I'll have to get there pretty early!

Yes, I'm hoping to catch them on Thursday as well and was wondering how early I'd have to get there to snag a spot in the venue.

    My guess is Cobra Skulls

Agreed. I wish they'd give him an earlier day set like they did a few years ago cus he was a lot of fun, but I'm not gonna skip someone like Jawbreaker or Beck to go see him when I know he'll be back last year.

And I wish they'd give TBS a less conflicted spot one of these years.

Do they announce it ahead of time, usually? Or is it truly a secret that they don't let out until the show?

Last year they didn’t say anything. The Flatliners just got on the stage and played

But it was much easier to figure out who it was last year

Its going to be touch and go with how much of Saturday I’m actually going to drag myself out of bed for. Interpol and Beck are the only two I really feel strongly about

Eh, with the daily breakdowns/schedule, this really looks like it's the weakest year. Also I love Run the Jewels, and I'm so happy to see a festival taking a chance on them being a headliner, but with hardly any other hip hop on the festival lineup, was this really a smart choice? I'm afraid their draw at this will be very small.
Anyway my weekend breakdown would look like this:

Friday - Liz Phair > Sum 41 > Bleachers > Young the Giant > Weezer
Saturday - Bully > The Voidz > Interpol > Beck
Sunday - Spitalfield > Johnny Marr > Blondie > Alkaline Trio > Incubus > Run the Jewels

You're complaining about a lack of hip hop and yet you don't list Atmosphere or Digable Planets... Fail.

My only REAL conflict is Sum 41/Front Bottoms. On one hand, I don't think I'll see Sum 41 ever again so there's that. But if I show up for TFB I can stay there and do TFB -> Bleachers -> Weezer and be pretty close.

For real. Digable played the grand opening of the House Of Vans Chicago, they were fucking sick live, definitely gonna try and at least catch a bit of their set.

isn't Sum 41 playing an after show on Friday night?

It definitely is, also saw Rise Against and Direct Hit! there too once. They only have shows every now and then, would be dope if they did it more frequently. Was kinda half expecting a Riot after show or two there tbh

    Friday
    135 200 Direct Hit!
    200 215 The Fever 333
    215 255 Liz Phair
    315 400 The Aquabats
    400 435 K.Flay
    440 525 The Front Bottoms
    530 630 Matt & Kim
    635 735 Bleachers
    735 745 Atmosphere
    745 800 Taking Back Sunday
    800 840 Young the Giant
    845 1000 Weezer

After Hours: Sum 41 (as long as I can sell my ticket for State Champs)

Watching the first 15 minutes of Fever to get an idea of the show, then seeing the rest of Liz Phair. I might watch K.Flay waiting for The Front Bottoms, but will probably use that time to eat. Might also grab dinner during Young the Giant too before Weezer.

    Saturday
    330 400 Cobra Skulls
    400 430 Bully
    430 500 Cat Power
    500 545 Wolfmother
    545 630 Twin Peaks
    635 735 Elvis Costello & the Imposters
    735 830 GWAR
    845 930 Beck
    900 1000 Andrew WK

After Hours: Nothing right now. Maybe last minute Lagwagon? Maybe pizza party? Maybe sleep?

Getting there pretty late to rest from the full Friday schedule and after show. Might skip Cobra Skulls too, depending on how I'm feeling. Probably going to use Twin Peaks' time to get food since I've seen them twice this year already.

    Sunday
    1220 1250 Mom Jeans
    100 130 Just Friends
    130 210 Calpurnia
    200 230 Kevin Devine
    300 345 SWMRS
    430 500 The Bouncing Souls
    500 545 Clutch
    545 615 Superchunk
    615 700 Underoath
    700 800 The Wonder Years
    800 900 Incubus
    900 1000 Run the Jewels

After Hours: Aaron West & the Roaring Twenties, driving back.

Eating during SWMRS or just quickly before Souls. Hate having to skip Alkaline Trio, but I can't say no to The Wonder Years, but I'm still super excited to see them.

Anyone have a clue as to food vendors this year? Vegan selection blew last year.

Why would you not see Sum 41 again? Just because you wouldn't go see them on their own you mean? Cus they tour quite a bit.

To be fair, Sum 41 hasn't played Cleveland since the first Does This Look Infected Tour in 2012 lol
