Those Prater FG misses really hurt. Plus 4 different position players on my team lost fumbles

I think I won by 100, ugh

 

I played the no. 1 scoring team in the league this week and lost by 40. Sometimes it feels good to be drilled. Nothing more frustrating than losing a close game and killing yourself for leaving points on the bench.

 

Fumbles were brutal for me too. Dalvin Cook, Michael Thomas, and Chris Carson all lost a fumble.

 

I had to be play against the top scoring team for the first week when his team went off for like 180 and I barley managed 100. Damn.

 

So I have Conner. Other guy has Bell.

Should I try to flip Conner for someone like Freeman? Or try to pry Bell...if so, what would you offer?

I wouldn't do either of these deals tbh. You could use an upgrade at WR past Adams/Hill but none of his guys are worth Conner, imo. Conner is going to be a RB1 option going forward

 

Yeah, only guy I was honestly thinking about was Conner for Freeman...but I'm hesitant. So I was thinking about trying to get Bell. Think I might hold tight. Thanks

 

I think Bell has played his last game for the Steelers, there's no way he runs behind that line after they trashed him, and I don't know that any team is going to trade for him at this point...

 

Going to sit out the waiver wire this week after burning #2 to get Conner and then see what's left.

Planning on switching out Cam Meredith and Michael Gallup or Anthony Miller for whoever is left from Godwin, Ginn, Grant

 

Part of me is thinking the same thing. The whole situation is cancerous to the locker room. If he waits and comes back later in the season it might be disastrous.

 

Personally I love waiting out the waiver wire for a few weeks early in the season (unless theres an ABSOLUTE must add). People panic on players that they drafted that didn't have a good week 1 and drop them. Plus you don't have to burn a spot

 

my one league resets every week to reverse order in standings, even if you don't use your waiver priority

I fucking hate it

 

I would honestly just stream the TE position from week to week. Carlos Hyde is a lot more valuable than Jack Doyle and the TE position is just so volatile in general (unless you happen to have Gronk) that it's not worth trying to make moves to get a TE that you most likely won't be happy with.

 

Theres a very real chance he doesnt play until Week 11...and even then, if Conner has a few more good games, he's not gonna be a starter.

Freeman is a risk of getting hurt, thats what would scare me. And Conner is more locked in for carries/targets. And with Baldwin hurt, you dont want him off that team.

Your RBs are solid, I'd let that play out another week or two and see who loses a RB and needs, say, Howard. That could net you a solid WR1/WR2 while you'll still have the upside on Lewis and Breida potentially

 

Def like the way you think. My tactic this year was to snag a ton of rbs. But I kinda forgot to grab more wrs late haha.

 

I had a pretty good week in both my leagues.

 

Exactly my plan. I'm not panicking myself, just took a bunch of high upside guys but my bench is super thin due to injury/suspension (Alshon, Aaron Jones, Marlon Mack) and I can't bother having Cam Meredith going inactive AND two lottery tickets (Gallup, Miller) with my bench like that. Ted Ginn might not have as much value in a 0.5 PPR but he has more value than a guy that doesn't play, that's for sure.

Did this once accidentally and it was trash. A team that was like 1-5 was able to rebuild in the fly and crash the playoffs.

Went 1-1 in both leagues this week, coulda won both if I played Conner.

In one league I’m in preliminary talks for trading for bell, I’m thinking of offering shady and ARob for him. This is my team now

QB - Wentz, Mahomes
RB - DJ, Conner, Shady, Derrick Henry, Lamar Miller, Jamaal Williams
WR- Michael Thomas, ARob, Jeffrey, Fuller, Hurns
TE - njoku

It would leave me a bit thin at WR but stack me fairly well at RB. Thoughts?

 

I did the same in a 3WR league...its killing me now as Im gonna have to pin my hopes on Ryan Grant or Dante Pettis or someone similar to be an every week WR3

 

Man, I dont envy being in that position. Shady/Arob would be a fair trade if Bell was coming back this week, but if he doesnt show til Week 11, its gonna hurt your depth. Especially if Alshon is out a few more weeks.

Id probably take the risk that Conner sticks and try and move a RB and ARob for a steadier WR. When Jeffrey's back, you'd then have 3RBs and 3WRs you could comfortably play week to week (plus any upside from Fuller)
