Exactly my thoughts. I don't mind them playing there biggest hits, but the majority of the songs should be new. Blink should step out from there comfort zone.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Well maybe they'll start adding more songs as they go, but I doubt Matt has learned a whole lot more blink songs since right after he filled in last year he had all the full discography Trio shows, and then they pretty much started writing. I'm just too glad they sound great live to be super concerned with their set list.

  3. At least Offspring did that Smash 20-year tour

  4. Let's just say if Blink ever played Dude Ranch in full I would empty my bank account for it

I thought he said hey Matt there's someone wearing an alkaline trio shirt. Not sure though but that's what it sounded like from my side of the stage

    Things have changed.

People come to hear the hits.

This is what I can't understand why people don't get this. A band blinks size pretty much HAS to play the hits. Sure they can work in some deeper cuts or less played songs/songs they haven't played on a while, but at their shows and especially a show at the XGames where not everyone is a die hard fan; they'll please more people with the hits then they will with deeper cuts. And that's what they're there for. When their tour starts they'll work some others in I'm sure. But they are playing it smart.

I get it. I really do. I want to hear rare songs as much as the next guy, but 90% of the people who go to these shows have probably never seen them before and would walk away going, "Oh, they didn't play the songs I know." You're right that hopefully on the summer tour they'll start working in different songs, but I'm not sure what they'd cut in their place.

My guess is songs like violence, up all night, and (hope to god I'm wrong please keep this) not now.

I just can't believe they are still doing "Up All Night"

I want to take a time machine to twenty years ago to tell Mark that his band will have too many hits, and that Tom would rather make movies and books about aliens than play those hits lol.

I can, it's a single that went over well. That being said I'd prefer After Midnight or Hearts All Gone. Still keeps a neighborhoods song in there but they're better songs. Id really actually prefer Even If She Falls or MH off that album but again as before...deep cuts compared to hits

No because then we wouldn't be at where we are now anticipating California, and blink may have ended like after enema or something. Butterfly effect man!

  14. If they put three or four Mark centric songs that weren't singles, I'd be stoked. I don't even care which songs they are at this point.

I went to see Muse yesterday. They have played 8 new songs out of 12 from their latest album. I was surpised that so many people knew the lyrics for those songs...I think because the younger generation knows only the latest material.

So It's not about how huge the band is. They can become even more popular after playing the majority of California songs. It's also about them getting new fans and entertain the old ones.

I wish they would swap Up All Night for After Midnight

I was excited to hear them play up all night, that song is too good to go to waste

I feel like there were tons of times I'd hear Up All Night playing in the background of highlights on ESPN. That opening riff alone belongs in the sports world.

It is probably because how it sounds live...which Mark's verse live sounds bad sadly.
