I'm so glad they got to play. I really thought it was going to get cancelled after the downpour earlier in the day.

It was fucking awesome too!

This is absolutely far fetched— but next to me at the concert was a guy who is a football coach in Texas. Said he's seen blink 7 times. He moved next to me and encouraged me to let loose and just jam. ended up having the best night of my life. If this guy is on here by chance, thank you dude. You made my night so much better.

 

Watched up through Bored To Death, they sound so good now. Even enjoyed First Date. Up All Night isn't bad but the energy of that song is just so wrong for a blink show. It just stops everything dead in it's tracks I feel. At least the chorus sounds decent now, it was always horrible with Tom. Can't wait to see them.

Also Matt sounds way more comfortable on the outro of I Miss You now then those initial shows.

 

I really hate that anyone would have their phone up the whole fucking show

 

That's my thing. I hate people who do it. And it drives me nuts. Especially when there a pro shoot happening.
I'll take a pic or 2 and maybe 10secs for memory. But it's outrageous. Enjoy the moment
But my contradiction is I'll watch the YouTube footage every now and then

 

yeah, maybe he had it set up on something...but who knows...to each their own I suppose?

I'm uploading some video even though the sound is shit because I was standing right next to a speaker, I used my canon so it's actually decent quality to watch.

Also, highlight of the night is Mark pointing at me and calling me "alkaline trio song/fan/thing? (I couldn't quite understand what the fuck)" and Matt coming over and pointing and being all cute and shit. ~

 

"Stay Together For The Kids" sounds so good with Matt.

Also, I love the woah he's added to the end of "Always."

 

Im honestly surprised at home many Tom songs they played. It seems like there are more Tom songs than Mark's. I wonder if Mark's vocals can only handle like half a set. He has so many great songs that they should play.

Did you ask about other songs on California that were not mentioned in any of the interviews (Los Angeles, San Diego, California, The Only Thing That Matters, etc.)?

 

I hate how they are still leaving that part where Tom shouts "fate fell short this time" in Feeling This empty, I thought it was Tom being lazy but apparently they think it sounds good.

 

I really hope that there will be more new songs on their set-list. Based on there rehearsals set-list there will be just just 5 new songs after the album drops and 2 of them are joke songs. They need to promote their new album and not doing the greatest hits shows again.

 

Not a bad set list at all, quite like this. And I love thAT they played STFTK, as the song that introduced me and got me to love blink it has a special place in my heart. That being said, if I had to complain, I'd replace up All night with after midnight or hearts all gone to keep at least one neighborhoods songs in there

 

Really hoping this single-heavy set list was because it was x-games. They need to change it up on the real tour.

Sound sucks because I was right next to the speaker but I used my actual camera and the crowd wasn't rough so the video quality is pretty decent. The *All The Small Things* video is so short because I clipped it since it was mostly shaky as fuck as I was losing my shit because you can see Matt LOOKING STRAIGHT AT ME AND SINGING "ALWAYS I KNOW YOU'LL BE AT MY SHOW" AFTER MARK POINTED AT ME AND CALLED ME "ALKALINE TRIO (THING?)" AND THEN MATT CAME OVER AND POINTED AND MADE FUNNY FACES AT ME. I'm more than certain it's because I've been to so many trio shows and I'm always wearing these silly light up horns which I was also wearing last night and have met him so many times now he's dedicated songs to me 3 times. I didn't even realize that he was literally directing lyrics at me until I watched the video hours later. That alone was totally worth standing and getting drenched in torrential downpour for a whole fucking hour.

 

Lol, sorry about the long winded //humble brag// I'm just too damn pumped right now.

These blink setlists just remind me of The Offspring. You know they have so many incredible songs, but they still just play Pretty Fly and Why Don't You Get A Job.

 

That would have been a great moment!! Lol. Those light up horns sound epic
