Hawthorne Heights posted a picture saying how it'd be cool for them to tour with Senses Fail. Maybe HH is support for the winter 2019 SF tour?

That's a great tour! Happy it's a coheadliner as I want to see both Seaway and Trophy Eyes play a decently long set finally. This is the first tour Seaway has ever headlined or coheadlined that has come to Portland. Will probably show up late and skip Hot Mulligan because 5 band shows are too long for my old ass and the live reviews of them this year have been iffy.

 

Same label so they have to tour together at some point surely

Microwave are much better than some teeny bopper pop punk band, the disrespect smh. Their bio literally says "adult contemporary mid-tempo rock"

 

Most of the newer teenage Pop Punk bands are still great tbh

I just checked out the new WSTR album. Sounds like a faster version of Farewell.

 

Seaway's Vacation would probably be up a lot of people in this thread's alley. As someone who doesn't have that much interest in any of the newer pop punk bands, I thought that album slapped.

I think seaway is the only band that I would characterize as pop punk that I listen to that didn’t exist before, like, 2005.

 

Super ignorant response. These aren't really cookie cutter pop punk bands and the only one who could be classified as one is one of the best bands in the genre right now. Nice try though.

Someone here mentioned that Cyrus said they NFG wouldn’t be touring again until 2019. That happens to be when that SF tour is happening...

If HH is opening for Senses Fail they wouldn't be announced for awhile. The tour with Silverstein runs until mid December.

 

I'll actually be home in Portland for that Seaway/Trophy Eyes tour, but it's the same day as Tenacious D. Well shit. At least I saw Seaway at the begining of the year with Neck Deep, and will be seeing Trophy Eyes in a couple days.

 

Neck Deep sucks and Seaway rules. TE will definitely also play longer with Seaway

 

Said by someone who's CLEARLY a fan. Most of this is just honest fluff. That's how that genre has been over the years. It's all, "Hey, man. Get fucking hyped on this band!," and two months later, it's all "Hey, d00d! THIS band over here is the truth", and the cycle repeats. It becomes this massive thing where the same 10 bands are touring with each other, and there's not much growth. Or this band that you and all of the music blogs were hyping up is somehow old news six months later. Out of a billion pop punk bands that everyone tries to stan, a few of them actually have some sort of success. Nice try though.

 

Listening to trophy eyes for the first time, what the fuck is this? It’s like five different genres and I think I kinda like it.

 

LOL you mad bro? I'm not saying these bands are the saviors of the genre or anything, but you're being uncessarily harsh and generalizing bands without knowing much about them. Also I could give a fuck less how commercially successful these bands are. The genre in itself has leveled off so I'm not going to blame this tour for the genres issues as a whole for being stale.

Also most of these bands don't sound like typical pop punk bands so I don't know what you're talking about. These aren't hyped bands for the most part so you're rant is misinformed at best. Your initial comment basically shits on anyone for listening this because you think you're above certain people based on your superior music taste. Screw that elistest BS. Why in the hell do you follow the scene still if it sucks so much? Have fun being an old angry ass hole though, I'm sure it makes life super enjoyable :)
