I like Stand and Feel Your Worth quite a bit but the chorus always fell flat for me. Riley kills it on that song though.

 

Nobody's denying that Moths has some great parts - including the outro. But, as a complete song, it's just not as strong as Glory or Dawn.

Every time somebody posts to defend Moths, they'll say how much they love it because of the outro or the verse. I just can't buy into the song as a whole when it has such a stock riff and chorus. I love everything this band does and yet, that song has always perplexed me (especially when you consider the two b-sides).

Broken Lungs never computed with me either.

 

Broken Lungs is my second favorite off Alchemy 3/4 behind Daedalus.

 

Daedalus is a top 10 Thrice song. No question.

 

Finally got my preorder! Ordered black, got black.

 

Dustin's voice got tired midway through. These things are expected to start a tour. In their very first show back, they were off as well.

The guitars weren't consistently in tune either (depending on the song).

I couldn't believe they didn't play "The Window." That's the one song I couldn't wait to hear live.

Still, they're magical even on their worst day.

By the end of the tour, they'll be firing on all cylinders. Singing Thrice for an hour and a half isn't easy and their techs have a tough job juggling all the different tunings from song to song.

 

Lyrically it's not great, but musically it just kills it. And Dustin's vocals in that song just make it so affirming (even as a non-Christian).

Is vinyl really worth all the trouble? I have a few records for decoration but given the hassle of ordering vinyl and the waiting game that sometimes comes with it, is the juice really worth the squeeze?

 

Sorry man, the first time I talked to them they told me my first one never got shipped and wouldn't so they put another one in and I guess they ended up sending both orders.

I got the idea from Thrice as some of them had Radiohead records on their wall.

 

I used to have my Beggars one framed, it was signed, and it was before I owned a record player.

 

Hah. S'all good. Some other nice person on here offered me one but I made peace with the black that I ended up getting for free after they refunded me. If I liked this more I probably would have tracked one down.

 

Daedalus is a top 5 for me. Glad they played it last night.

 

Wake up continues to grow on me, to the point where I am even excited for it to come on while listening to the record

 

Wake Up is one of my favorites on the album.

 

Just want to see that breakdown live at some point.
