    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I don't think it's a matter of filling the stage with all genre acts, necessarily. I think it's just keeping the like genres together.

Fuck. Hobo Johnson. Haha. I still can't believe he's so high on the poster...

I could honestly see Matt & Kim being on the hip-hop stage too. I know they're not hip-hop by any stretch, but in terms of the set-up/sound? It's probably fairly similar to what those acts have. I say this having zero knowledge of any of this. But it works for me more than any of the other stages... In my head, anyway.

That definitely crossed my mind to, my only "issue" with that is that on the poster they are behind both CH and atmophere, while still being pretty high on the poster. and they seem high enough on the poster to not be 3rd to last on a non-main stage... but also, the layout of this years posters (with all the bands on the side) may be skewing how high up M&K seem to be.

Father John Misty is the shit... it'll be very chill by Riot standards, but great none the less. (assuming he doesn't conflict with other bands playing that I will probably never see again)

I find FJM to be boring. Am I doing something wrong?

This is what I'm most excited for though cus his sets really aren't all that "chill". Like maybe half will be, but then the other half is a full on rock show. Like if does Ideal Husband, Hanging at the Gallows, Date Night, Hollywood Forever Cemetary Sings... those songs all hit pretty hard live (well I haven't seen the new ones but I assume) and that's what I think people don't realize about him. He's actually pretty balanced

I won tickets to see him live last year and it was so boring, but my frienda tell me he give a better show at festivals

Even when I'm not sitting at work I'll be occasionally looking at the clock counting down and chuckle to myself on multiple occasions the past couple weeks haha

I kinda feel bad for the riot fest peeps. Every one of them I've met are super nice and work their asses off to make this thing a reality. I have to imagine they are just like us looking at the clock and back to their emails and just thinking "F***********CK!!!!!"

Also of note: in festivals past (not Riot Fest, just festivals in general) press info has had additional acts not yet released or ones removed who you obviously find out later had to cancel. This year, there are zero additional acts on the contacts list.

This leads me to continue to believe they have something up their sleeves or are fighting like hell to mic drop one on all of us.

Do you happen to know roughly how much staff are behind this thing? I mean, as part of the core organization.

I assume their not stupid and know what they're doing. I get that there can be issues delaying the release of information. But I am baffled by the almost complete radio silence the past few weeks. To reassurances, no snarky comments, no countdown, no getting people excited with promotional stuff.

Again, I assume there are valid reasons for this. I'm just reallly curious as to what they are.
(That being said "mild annoyance and endless fascination" are my main two drivers for following this so closely).

Out of curiosity -- was Moose Blood on that list? They announced a cancellation today.

I'd love it if they had something up their sleeves. Your optimism, and the dude from As It Is saying the delay was happening for a "good reason" are making me believe that there might be something coming.

Probably extremely inaccurate now but I'll give it a whirl and say their core group is around 20? Then there are likely interns, volunteers, etc. I remember seeing on some release like 3-4 people that focus solely on booking. This is in addition to the HMFICs.
