earlier this year, back in february, a tour manager told me RF had been throwing cash at MCR for years and he wouldn’t be surprised if this is the year they do it.

just heard another rumor that they were gonna do it but mikey backed out a week before the announcement which left them scrambling.

not sure what stock we wanna put into that, but there’s another rumor for us to dissect haha

honestly, at this point, i don’t know what to believe with riot fest haha. i can’t believe its gotten to this point

 

I've been saying that A LOT over the past year or so and not just about Riot Fest.

 

I just tweeted the radio station sponsor 101WKQX what the deal is and how today seems to be a shitstorm that far exceeds the previous weeks. And I know one of the DJs there, she's on the air right now, too. I got a notification that the station and her liked my tweet, but then they removed it the like. In short, they know what's up but they can't say anything. Something is imminent....hopefully.

 

I feel like the only way RF can redeem themselves here is MCR

 

My second cousin works for Riot fest (or some company that helps put on Riot Fest). I really want to ask him what the deal is but we’re not that close so it would be awkward. Maybe he will post something about t though.

FWIW, Jason Tate popped in here just before the line-up was announced and said they wouldn't be playing.

Things may have changed since then, but I wouldn't put too much stock in thinking they were close to getting them this year.

 

MCR wouldn't play this festival as their first show back.

 

On the bright side, if Riot Fest is cancelled, y'all can go see the wonders of 90s Night with Pete & Pete without conflict:

 

I was hoping that refreshing the Riot Fest Twitter and Facebook page 400 times today would lead to the schedule being released but it doesn't work......just trying to save you the trouble.

I am slightly surprised that a festival of this size, any actual info on what is the holdup has not slipped out.

 

I guess the Bauhaus leak was one, but nothing aside from that is crazy. They must threaten their people with death or something.
