going to post my thoughts and predictions that no one cares about throughout the day.

going through the schedules and assigning W/L/T for every team to try and get a better feel for where my thoughts come from.

    NFC NORTH
    Packers 13-3
    Vikings 11-5
    Lions 7-9
    Bears 4-12

Packers - could be even better than 13-3 or could fall to 10-6 if they McCarthy it up as they usually do some games. Split with Minnesota and lose to Rams and Pats since the Rams and Pats games are back to back on the road and that's a lot of travel to contend with. Lions in Detroit are always tricky, Atlanta could be trouble but it's in GB in the (probably) cold. Rodgers vs 3 rookie QB's this year isn't fair.

Vikings - I have them winning vs Rams, Saints and Seahawks. could also lose all 3 of those games and be a mediocre 8-8 which kind of feels more likely than another great year. feel like last year could have been a fluke. split with GB. 2 different brutal cross country trips - LA then PHI, NE then SEA.

Lions - split with MIN and CHI seems right. a lot of toss ups - DAL, SF, CAR, SEA.

Bears - oof. pretty tough schedule. they could upset SEA in wk 2 but i don't see it yet. only wins i feel comfortable with: ARI, TB, BUF, DET. could split with MIN maybe and SF and MIA could also be wins, but they're 3rd in the division at best.

  8. If we beat the Rams week 1 I'll get a Gruden tattoo on my back. If we lose I'm gonna buy four Blake Bortles jerseys

Jags have a pretty tough schedule. I don't like the predictions I've been doing. It's gonna be hard to do better than 10-6.

    1) we are the first team to see Saquon Barkley. I'm not worried about OBJ because of Ramsey, but that has trap-game potential.

    2) Why do we play the Patriots so EARLY! I'd be way more confident if the game was like week 6.

    3) We could easily lose to the Titans at home, and then the Jets right after that because Bortles especially sucks against those defenses. He might try to do too much against Tom Brady week 2, get frustrated, and then go on a downswing and throw some INTs the next few games.

Right there those are reasons to lose to all 4 of our first opponents. Then:

    4) Week 5 is the Chiefs. On raw talent we are better than them, but they could have a scary offense. I chalk this as a win but again, trap game potential, we cant just stick Ramsey on their lead WR and Telvin on a RB and be fine. We'll have to keep up and score a lot.

    5) Texans have DeShaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, Jadeveon Clowney, AND Tyrann Mathieu (who had Bortles number on the Cards last year). All those dudes could fuck our day up. While I will be pissed if we don't handle the Titans sorry asses this year, I am a touch worried about the Texans giving us fits.

    6) While I'd rather play the Eagles in London than Philly, that sucks. We have to play the Superbowl Champs in another country / 5 hour different time zone, lol what

    7) The minute I talk too much shit about Andrew Luck not coming back to his old self, is the minute he Jimmy Garroppolo's us for 44 points. The dude's last name is LUCK. So I'm not gonna push my... chan..ces.

    8) oh not to mention who knows what the Redskins will be. I'm leaning more towards "tough" than "weak".

    NFC WEST
    Rams 11-5
    49ers 8-8
    Seahawks 6-10
    Cardinals 2-14

interesting division. feels like a lot of hype around LAR and SF while SEA and ARI could fall off the map and be buried alive (or whatever semblance of "alive" they would be with shitty records). i'm not buying in to SF this year. that roster needs a lot of work and they have a tough schedule.

Rams - they have 4 games that i have them winning that they could very easily lose. a lot depends on Goff progressing and Hurley staying healthy and what that circus of a defense does if they lose games and unravel.

49ers - i essentially have them going W/L/W/L the whole season. if they can get hot and win a couple that i don't think they will, they'll be my surprise team of the year. but i think they're a year or two away and Jimmy has to play more than 300 seconds before i care at all what he does.

Seahawks - fuck. i have them starting 4-2 but then they hit a wall. and even that 4-2 start could go much worse. they'll need everyone on the roster to be a huge contributor to be any good and that's not gonna happen.

Cardinals - well, there has to be 2-3 really awful teams and this is my first guess at one of them. i honestly didn't feel comfortable having them winning against the 49ers and Oakland, but this roster isn't bad enough to go 0-16 and we know how hard that is to do.

I just realized that the Chiefs picked Kareem Hunt with a pick from the Vikings that they got from the Carroo trade

This is going to be a weird game, I think. At least the Eagles should be fully healthy by then (pending no injuries between now and then) since Wentz, Jeffrey, and Jernigan should all be back.

    NFC SOUTH
    Falcons 11-5
    Saints / Panthers 10-6
Buccaneers 3-13 (and i hope much, much worse)

I was actually anticipating the Saints winning the division, but the schedule played out that the Falcons win it. although a game goes for or against either team and it can be swapped. this division has A LOT of brutal games.

Falcons - only one game (outside of TB) that i feel are sure-fire wins (ARI). the rest of the division games are always toss ups and the rest of their schedule depends on which team shows up.

Saints - watch that game @ Cincy. i could see them losing that and costing them down the line.

Panthers - a handful of games that i think will be very, very close.

Buccaneers - haven't looked at Cleveland's schedule, but i have TB losing to them so this may be Cleveland's first win in over 2 (or 3?) calendar years. also - HOLY FUCK that start without Winston - @ Saints, Eagles, Steelers, @ Bears, @ Falcons. ouch.

The hyperbole is too much and gag inducing, but this a damn fine play and I always forget how young he is. Only 23!!!

We got a lot of shit for "wasting" a pick on someone who was predicted to never play again, but crucified is too much. I linked the tweet more for the video of the play and it pointing out he's still so young.
