Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. I feel the same way that you do here. Transparency would be awesome. Mostly because I"m a nerd and I always get real curious about the details of this sort of thing.

I was speaking more generally that your average person complaining on the Internet about these things (not you, and really nobody on this thread) will still complain just as much. Haha.

I mean, at this point, I'm thinking it really will all be coming on the same day.

 

Really hoping the Riot Fest set list is similar to what they've been playing on their recent headliner except that: (1) Matt replaces the references in "Warbrain" to different bands/songs like he sometimes does, and (2) they replace "Sadie" with "My Friend Peter."

 

I would be down for them to switch it up but unfortunately I doubt they will. I absolutely would love to hear My Friend Peter though. I think they might add Little Help to the setlist as well. Seems like it'd be a blast to play

I also really hope Derek plays with them at Riot

Grabbed the leak last night to listen to it before I went to sleep, been on repeat all morning, stopping at a record store on the way home to hopefully pick up a physical copy. It's an absolute gem and I'm so happy

I live on Damen about a block south of Division, so "Demon and Division" has been my jam haha

 

Won't deny that I'm three songs in and this is probably the best Trio album since Crimson but my tastes have definitely changed.

Also on the delaying the lineup front: Wouldn't they have to make up their minds a couple weeks ago one way or another? Don't all the t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc all get printed way more than two weeks in advance so they're ready in time?

Nah. I plan a big event once yearly in my town. For about 400 shirts, we only really need to give our shirt printer 48-72 hours notice. I'm assuming RF uses the same shirt printers every year so they likely know to expect a big order from them this time of year. They probably only need to give them 3-5 days notice.

When I found out that the old name of that intersection was The Crotch I ran with it and haven't stopped. Such a great name for an area full of crust punks.

 

At the end of the day, in two weeks I’ll be in Chicago seeing a lot of bands I love with my best friends. I’m still very excited for it even though it’s been a bit messier than the other times I’ve gone.

Pretty sure I saw one of them almost die recently. An ambulance rolled up and homeboy was face down on the street, he did not look alive, but the ambulance loaded him up so he was probably barely hanging on. Was definitely an experience haha.
