If it’s Bauhaus I feel like more people will be mad at the festival who weren’t initially going since they only have 2 weeks to plan

I’m sure something like that will change a lot of people’s minds about going

I actually heard this morning that one of the reasons this was so delayed was because of a band member's visa issues trying to be resolved. So this looks like that's exactly the case.

I was looking forward to Incubus, but I'd find it hard to say "no" to a large-scale Alkaline Trio set. That being said, they've been playing "Privilege" as the first song which is my all-time favorite Incubus track so... I'd at least want to see the first few minutes.

The one benefit that Douglas gives them over Humboldt is the stage set-up. It's SO much easier to move between stages there, so long as you're willing to stand in the back.

Yeah, I can see this being a game-changer for a number of people.

And I'm pretty sure the reason for the delay was an issue with Peter Murphy's visa (if what I heard about that was true a few months back)... Which would be a reasonable reason for the delay/explain why they had a back-up in place.

Yeah, I remember (and forget where it was) somebody mentioned Bauhaus and the response was like "Nope, Peter Murphy just cancelled a bunch of shows in San Francisco. He has visa issues."

Hahahaha holy shit....don't remind me! Navigating Humboldt, especially the last year, was hell.

Bauhaus, in the middle of our street, Bauhaus.

    That’s all I got

Based on the reaction here, and on Reddit, I think this was a "probably worth the wait" scenario for the festival.

Real curious to see who all else they wind up adding!

    Whatever. Forever.

I wonder if we will get any other surprises in wave 2?

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

Last year, there were 91 bands on the schedule when it was announced. Right now, there are 82 or 83 (I can't tell if No Small Children is a band or not). With Bauhaus also getting revealed, we should get 8-10 new bands.

I thought the same thing about No Small Children haha, but I looked em up on spotify, they're actually a band

Originally when I posted 20 minutes ago about Danzig being second wave I was being a smart ass.....but now I just saw a post that Danzig's first album 30th anniversary is today. I wonder if they'll be announced and one of the albums played.

    Give what you can.

Peter Cetera wore a Bauhaus shirt in Chicago's "You're the Inspiration" video. This announcement would fulfill the prophecy.

Well I'm listening to Bauhaus now and they're pretty cool so I could get behind this. Sounds like a fun set to just kind of chill in the back and enjoy.

hahaha I figured! I just saw the chance to drop the Big Lebowski so I took it.

As long as there's another headliner and something for a 2nd wave I'm good too

slightly off topic but I heard somewhere from someone in the industry that beer is going to be $10/11 this year, this person works with the catering side of a bar that always has a tent.
