I Found Away is my all time favorite Trio song, I’m pretty sure it’s one of Skiba’s too

 

I love Skeletons but I remember really wanting them to play I Found Away when they were on Kimmel for that album

 

Yeah Matt’s had some serious throat issues over the years and they started around the time they began recording this record. To be honest it takes me out of the element whenever I listen to it now. As much as I adore “Blue in the Face”, it’s so hard to listen to because I just wanna give him a throat lozenge whenever I hear it.

 

If I had to make a top 15 Alkaline Trio Songs list it goes:

Take Lots was my first Trio song so it will always be a top Dan song. That drum intro never fails to get me pumped. Every Thug, Fine, and Burned is the House are my other faves.

 

I just realized that the producer of ITTC? Did the mixing on my current AOTY this year, Hawthorne Heights- Bad Frequencies.

This makes me happy.

 

If “Burned is the House” isn’t on your list of favorite Dan songs, have you even listened to Alkaline Trio?

 

Do you like their albums before Infirmary? I don't care if nothing is in your top 15 haha, I don't mind seeing people love Trio more at different points in their discography

 

I like all of their albums tbh! Not one of them is bad. But I will admit Infirmary is the starting point of when they started being awesome

 

Respectfully disagree. The last chorus in Continental would be nothing without his shredded vox

 

Infirmary is the first album I bought. And that's when it was their current release so only way to go was back obviously. I know right away I couldn't do my top 15 without I Lied My Face Off, Fuck You Aurora, Maybe I'll Catch Fire, Goodbye Forever, and Nose Over Tail lol

 

Nose over Tail and FYA would make the 16-20 range for me most likely

I am so happy about these songs! Can't even rank them, but damn I love Demon and Divison. Been singing "been dodging bullets and dirty looks all fucking morning" all day. Had to leave a meeting just to have a quick listen. This will not just be a new trio album, it will be an insanley good trio album. Im just gonna go hide out for a week listening to the album on repeat.

I’m so glad I bought the album on iTunes. I love all the acoustic tracks, plus you get Burned and In My Stomach, two of Dan’s best.

 

Lol when I met Trio you could get Agony signed if you bought a copy there at the show. I told Matt I had bought it on iTunes, the deluxe cd and now the regular cd. He was like "awesome, I'm the same way" (with buying all the versions of albums you love) haha

I’m the same way. I pre-ordered Is This Thing Cursed? on iTunes, pre-ordered the vinyl, and I’m going to try to find a CD somewhere on Friday haha.

 

No, Thursday’s song refers to a street in Jersey City and Alkaline Trio’s is in Chicago. Banner Pilot also has a song about another Division St in Minnesota!

 

Took a crack at it. I should be allowed to cram my top 40 into my top 15 with this band though. This is too restrictive lol

Burned is the house and Broken Wing are two top Dan songs and it fries me that they're b sides

 

Really my only main issue is if all the B sides on the last 3 albums were switched with the weakest songs on each album, I would have zero issues with any of them
