What is with this "deserves better" garbage?

Fans that are being entitled on their favorite band's behalf or something.

Yea...when I heard about the tour my instant thought was what a big opportunity for INK to get in front of a different older crowd who aren’t familiar. They have a lot of that early 2000’s metalcore influence as well that may garner them a ton of new fans on this tour. This is a really good tour for INK at this point.

Especially with Warped over where they drew some pretty good crowds, Where the venue on this tour is bigger than the venue they headline in Boston. So this could get them some more traction

It's nuts. If Atreyu didn't want Ice Nine Kills on the tour, they wouldn't have taken them. If Ice Nine Kills didn't want the tour, they wouldn't have submitted for it.

Honestly the only time a band "deserves better" than a tour their on is when they're going our with scummy people with a bad reputation. I may not be a huge fan of Atreyu or like MMF at all but this will be big for INK.

If they knowingly take a tour like that, they get what they deserve.

Maybe "deserves better" wasn't a good statement. I feel that INK could be doing more than a 2nd support slot at this point in their career. I'd like to see them on more headliners. I'd like them to support their new record but also be able to play older songs.

That said, I understand why they took the tour, they probably aren't as big as they should be and need to regain a bit of a fanbase that has been lost or was never more than just massive crowd at Warped.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I actually don’t understand why you wouldn’t be happy for a band you love having the opportunity to open for a bigger band and possibly gaining new fans?*

*now, if the headlining band has members that are known abusers or complete assholes, THAT is obviously 100% understandable

Ice Nine Kills was so much better as a ska band.

That's all I have to contribute to this discussion. That Atreyu tour is an anachronism in itself tho.

In Flames date just popped up on Facebook. 10/31 at House of Blues San Diego.

Wish that Atreyu tour had better support, but I may go regardless.
Also wish that Spite + Shadow Of Intent tour didn’t come to Tampa the same day as Ghost, ugh.

Just goes to show there's a lot of people who are apathetic about wider societal issues because of their favorite mediocre AF metalcore band is back and playing shows again.

Judging from the tour posters no one right now. Aren't they support for a leg of the Five Finger Death Punch/Breaking Benjamin tour? Could just be off dates.
