I think Riot Fest actually has something up their sleeve. Just building hype by not announcing it.

you're giving them a bit too much credit. it's a hell of a ruse to have a trump card like that up your sleeve and wait to announce it less than four weeks away from your event when all signs point to slightly lagging ticket sales at the very least.

 

3 weeks away! So glad I'm able to plan the weekend :)

 

I mean they got The Misfits and Jawbreaker to reunite and they didn’t hide that to build hype...

the real third headliner is the friends we made along the way.

 

Also i feel like they have to announce the daily lineups before September 1st because they are allowing people who purchased tickets at full price to bring an extra person for one day and they have to be claimed by 09/01

 

Those free "bring a friend" tickets are not specific to any day. They grant access to the person whichever of the 3 days they show up.
