You could change this quote to film in general and I’d still agree. It was such a golden age. Thinking of how many directors were in their prime back then is amazing.

i may get better but we won't ever get well Prestigious

mhm (although the 60s give it a run for its money) including internationally - Fassbinder, Akerman, Herzog, Wenders, Bergman, Pasolini, Ichikawa, Imamura, lotta good shit

I think Exorcist, TCM, Alien, and Hills Have Eyes are the only 70s horror movies I like.

60s for worldwide film, 70s for American for sure.

Honestly, I’m not even sure how to articulate it. I didn’t hate it or anything, just expected more with all the love I had read; I’d say it was just ok.

For anyone not part of the Suspiria thread, the new trailer is out and it's gorgeous.

They are e-bay gold. Took me some time to find them as gifts for my ex who was a horror/Halloween fanatic. Paid off though, she loved them.

They’re on amazon, you can get all three in one shot. I think they did a reprint recently since news broke of the movie being made. Perfect opportunity to cash in. As @currytheword previously stated make sure you get the ones with Stephen Gammell as the illustrator.

I've bought two different sets of Scary Stories in the past year. They're really easy to find on Amazon and pretty cheap for all 3 books.

  16. Ghost Stories was pretty good. He wasn't the main character, but I'm enjoying watching Martin Freeman in these little horror movies. Hope he does more.

That movie fucked md up by the end. That ending was well thought out and it was pretty damn freaky overall.

This is your annual reminder to watch Over the Garden Wall.

It literally pains me to think there are so many people that like horror/Halloween and haven’t watched it.

Bought it on DVD just to lend it out to people.
Also Boys in the Trees on Netflix is a nice little Halloween coming of age movie that I don't see many people talking about.

I actually came in here to say this haha. listened to the first episode through the James Bonding podcast thread. I gotta say I was a Michael Myers kid growing up, for some reason I never felt the need to truly dive into all the Jason films. watched the first and wasn't super impressed. i did see Freddie vs Jason in theatres haha. however, being such a fan of the genre, I feel like I need to see them all. that podcast is gonna be the perfect way for me to follow along and do so.

also really hope it goes well and they do the different seasons on other franchises like they mentioned in the episode.

Not sure why Happy Death Day got so much love, that was almost hard to get through.
