Just got this today I was under it the impression it was limited release and it was long out of stock but I found a link to it on google and just ordered it anyway to chance my luck! To my surprise it just dropped through the letter box!

I watched Blue Velvet for the first time last night and apart from being an amazing film, it gave me a whole new appreciation for “Dorothy.”

 

I've never seen that movie,is it somehow related?Dorothy is one of my favorite songs so I'd love to know where is it coming from haha

 

Oh yeah, it’s filled with references to the movie. The movie begins with the protagonist finding a severed ear in a field. (“Now it’s pounding in the ear left in left field for you to find.”) The line “it’s a strange world isn’t it?” is repeated several times throughout the film. The character Dorothy wears a black and blue velvet dress. There’s a scene where she’s naked in front of the main characters house (“Found you out there on the doorstep undressed to the nines.”) I could go on. Terrific film.

So I’m putting together a playlist of all of Dan’s songs where sings lead, and I’m not super well versed on The Falcon. Can anyone let me know if they have any songs other than You Dumb Dildos where he does significant vocal work?

Awesome. I couldn’t think of any others off the top of my head. I need to listen to The Falcon more than I do. I love the Lawrence Arms.

I think Maybe I’ll Catch Fire is my favorite Past Live performance. Sleepyhead and Tuck Me In are such great performances.

 

Yeah it's the best easily for me out of those 4 days.

 

Throw Me To The Lions has become my favorite track. So many Good Mourning vibes in that song.

 

My favorite track there and those creepy keys are highlight of the album

 

Someone in the Facebook group just said that Trio will be playing three nights at the Metro in January.

 

I was hoping they'd come back soon after Riot Fest. I glimpsed a flyer that said Liz Phair would be playing at the Metro too, I'll be spending a lot of time there the next few months.

 

Looks like I’m going back to Chicago in January lol
