Yea out of all of arguments that one had to be the dumbest... Like why would they care that she shared the information now..

 

Thought i missed something big from the page count but that doesn't seem to be the case lol

I really hope someday we get a rarities/b-sides album. Still salty over the fact that they never properly released the daisy sessions - easily my favorite way they've ever played Sowing Season.

Did we ever get a clear reason as to why they were never released? Assume it was something similar to the Jesus video in that they just didn't like the way that they turned out.

 

It's a good job Jesse doesn't use Spotify. I'm sure he'd take umbrage with their top related artist being Taking Back Sunday.

 

I will hold some modicum of hope that we will one day hear their favorite unreleased songs.

 

It still seems weak that Mene has 2.4 million plays and that will have earnt them about £15k in total. Not a bad amount of money in a year, I guess, but still. Considering it has to be split at least 4 ways it's about 2 months wages in a 'normal' job.

 

The real money is in the touring and merch sales.

 

Is there a version of the daisy sessions without the talking?

 

There's a FLAC version, Sowing Season is only one missing.

 

I'm not well-versed in the lives of the band members but it occurred to me in the shower that Vinnie would make a great barista

 

Maybe the Daisy sessions will get like a RSD release someday or something.

 

I must admit, this opens an interesting question up to me... Is it financially viable for Brand New to hang it up now? Obviously they're playing huge venues and selling them out, but they're playing way less shows per year than the average band, even bands of an equivalent size to them (just from the top of my head, someone like Deftones or Alter Bridge). I'm not thinking the guys would be like living rough or anything if they did hang it up, but is it really an option? Quitting at 40 is a hell of an early retirement...

 

That would be nice.

Well ending brand new doesnt neccesarily mean retiring. They have the label, producing, prob some investments we're unaware of, ect.

 

Yeah, guess I hadn't thought of that. They have their studio now so there's that too. Would love for Jesse to do some more producing after that KD record.

 

I think thats the direction he'll go. Prob offers a great balance of family life and getting the music itch scratched.

 

Yeah they probably all will have other things going on for money. Jesse will produce. Brian has his other job. I know at one point Garrett was a sky diving instructor. I don't know about Vin. He'll prolly just be in another band.

 

Garrett really is an enigma hahaha.

 

Can I use this pretty much forever from now on?

 

The thing about all of this, is that who really actually expected this album not to be their last? I think we've all felt as if this album would be their last, if they even ended up releasing one haha. It's awesome that we're getting one more album from them. Plus we've all seen them a billion times right? And we'll seemingly all get decent chances to see them before its over too. On top of that, if they are definitely finishing in 2018, then getting that much advanced warning is something basically no bands do. It's a pretty cool situation for all Brand New fans, and we should probably be pretty grateful, if anything.
