Why were they powering one up at all??

 

eh, i don’t wanna police her with the more monotonous “meta” stuff yet. i’m gonna introduce her to raiding this weekend and kind of explain the leveling stuff then and see if she cares.

Oooof. I have to keep myself from getting to meta with my dad who plays but not wasting stardust definitely seems like an introductory necessity.

 

Same! 1/1 and I’m already over it. I hope I can get a couple more for fun when I’m already out playing. It’s the least ugly of the three for sure.

Finally was able to max power up my 100iv Lugia. Thing is my best by far.

 

well, i’ve drilled home to save stardust. she just didn’t realize she was using it in powering up haha.

 

I totally wasted all my stardust early on before realizing there’s no point in powering anything up until you reach a certain level cuz you’ll just keep catching higher CP Pokémon in the wild as you level up.

 

Man, I didnt realize how much it really helps to power up Pokémon that help you to solo tier 3 Raids. I can’t really get out and raid anymore since I’m back teaching again and being able to solo any all the tier 3 Raids I see is pretty great pretty much just for the rewards.

 

That’s the woooooorst.

 

Porygon’s aren’t on raids anymore?

 

Nope, unfortunately. Short lived.

 

Damn, usually raids stay around for a while so I hadn’t hit them as hard as I wanted to. Looks like it’s gonna be a long time before I get a Porygon-Z. I have like 6 Porygon candy.

 

Oof sorry to hear that. On the bright side Tangela is a tier 3 now and I guess Tangrowth is gonna be very much meta relevant.

 

Yeah, I’ll definitely solo as many as I can but I have like 400 Tangela candy.

 

The absolute best counter is a high CP Gengar with double Ghost moves, which I have one of. He goes first usually always. Beyond that, I have 12 Tyranitars, and 10 Groudons. For great attackers like those, I’ve used tm’s to get movesets that are most effective, and split them down the middle. For instance, all my Groudons have Mud Shot, but for charged moves half of them have Solar Beam and the other half have Earthquake. So, I use the ones with the highest CP/stats with MS/Earthquake.

Same goes for Tyranitar. Almost all of them have Bite minus the 2 I have with Smack Down, and then half have Stone Edge and the others have Crunch. Double dark moves work great against Alolan Raichu.

 

Regirock looks really cool, I hope to get a few tomorrow on my day off.

yep, this really is going to bridge the gap between hardcore players and casuals. i can't imagine my gf getting an EX pass anytime soon with her low level and work schedule, this let's her join in and get a true meta-relevant pokemon to become more valuable to a raid group.

 

I hope it leads to more item trading in general. I would love to swap revives or potions with people and get more ultras.

 

That Meteor Mash move makes me hope for a Beldum Community Day. Shiny Metagross is awesome!
