Yeah there's a few recurring players i've encountered who make things simple. But there are quite a few looney tunes playing pogo in Albany no doubt. Sometimes I have to walk away from the groups lol.

 

I still haven't gotten a Registeel and I'm not sure I care.

 

I’ve been doing the raids for him solely for the xp since I’m grinding to 40. But I’m in the same boat, useless.

 

Looks like Chikorita is the next community day. September 22nd. Big meh, but expected.

Yeahh, I’m sitting at around 400 candies with five Meganiums as it is.

They also announced the next two community day dates though which is nice. October 21st and November 10th. November will almost definitely be either Totodile or Cyndaquil.

 

I will take this as I got into PoGo right after all the gen 2 stuff had finished so I am still missing the fully evolved starters, plus I presume they need to stretch out the pseudo-legendaries.

To be honest I quite fancy another Community Day with something like Mareep where they shine the spotlight on a "lesser" Pokemon and give you a reason to put it on your teams. Ampharos is still one of my best Electric-types.

 

Community Day is just a shiny hunt anyway, regardless of which pokemon it is

I thought Bagon, Beldum, Trapinch or Ralts would have been the obvious choices.

 

I'm not quite that high on candy, but I skip over dozens of them a day. No other starters have ever been that common for me. It's to the point where Bayleefs spawn somewhat regularly here and every once in a while I'll see a wild Meganium.

 

I’m thinking Gastly for October with the special move being Shadow Claw for Gengar.

 

Yup, same exact boat. I also skip over them a lot just cuz they’re so damn annoying to catch. I usually make one attempt and if it doesn’t stay in the ball, I flee.

 

Please 10km eggs, no more Trapinch.

 

A message from the local Discord: I don't know if any of you do the "stacking" trick with field research but it is being nerfed, starting from the 20th (which I believe is also when they're releasing an update?) you will "only" be able to stack 100 quests at a time.

 

Having taken such a long break from the game I've never even seen a gen 2 starter, I'll be happy with that community day.

 

So assuming November will be Cyndaquil, then Totodile in January.

been scouring slack and discord this week for local pokestops with the Spinda quest and it looks like I might know where two are near home. After work I'm gonna check out these stops and see if I can get myself a Spinda

Okay @ghostedaway figured out you’re Bryodos through a search so plan on popping a lucky egg at say 3:30 PM tomorrow? That work for you? Even if you can’t log on right at that time, if it’s anytime after that just pop a lucky egg right when you log on and that should work too. but whatever works for you!

Man I actually started working on powering up some of my gengars and Hariyama and I was able to run through a Porygon and Alolan Raichu Raid solo today and that was pretty cool. The rewards for tier 3 Raids are so much better than tier 1. I got 6 rare candies and a fast and charge tm. I was pretty happy about that.

Didn’t get to play a lot at all today but that’s what happens when I get back into teacher mode. It was still a pretty successful day today. Also, got a Mareep from the electric quest and was able to finish powering up my 100% Espeon.

 

After first being really bummed at the announcement that the next Community Day is Chikorita, I've come around to it. Mainly, I'm stoked that we get a 3x XP catch bonus during the event, so at the least it'll be a good opportunity for me to grind out some XP. I want to get from 37 to 38 sometime before Thanksgiving.
