I like this a lot better than the Grey, it's way more interesting to me

 

Would you say it has aged well?

 

I find both songs a little lifeless.

 

Production definitely kind of falls flat to me. I'm sure this song live will be really good

 

This definitely caught me off guard and I love it. I like The Grey just fine, but that song would have fit fine on M/m or TBEITBN. Only Us sounds new for them, which is hard to do considering how much ground they've covered already in their career.

 

Holy fuck, I absolutely loved that, my hype just went up a few notches. Way better then "The Grey". Can't freaking wait even more right now.

 

This song is great, the bass is so damn good and the chorus is huge. Just wish they repeated the chorus maybe once more at the end, but no biggie the song absolutely slays.

I was not expecting that at all. Love the build here. I didn’t realize it was the opening track until after I listened. Interesting choice.

 

So after about 5 plays, and as a huge Thrice mark mind you, I love this song a lot. It feels new (for them) by a lot. I like it a lot better than The Grey (not taking anything away from that track). I can hold off on anymore singles I think but I’m glad I spent the extra money on the WaxMage press. No remorse here.

 

Those lyrics... so brilliant and meaningful and timely.

 

My thoughts exactly. My hype for the album just increased substantially.

 

The one thing I think everyone can agree on is that if Dustin's lyrics stay this consistent through the album like they are on "The Grey' and "Only Us", this would be the best Thrice album lyrically in a long time. I think he's fallen off since Beggars in that regard, but this seems to be turning the tide.

 

Dustin sounds fantastic on this, his voice is so dry and it holds up

 

I dig the song a lot, though not sure it's a great pick for a second single based off the content and the fact that it is the opener.

the chorus melody is a bit similar to the outro to So Strange I Remember You. they're close rhythmically

whats really cool about it is the synth line still sounds like classic thrice to me, even if its a tone they havn't really explored much

You can, sort of: Setting > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Invert Colors

It applies across your whole phone and makes other stuff look weird, but Apple Music looks cool (the screenshot doesn't work right for some reason though).
