I don’t know who did the writing for these songs but at least one member of this band is going to pull a Jonny Greenwood and start scoring films one day I’m sure of it

Eric wrote most of the instrumental parts from what I read.

conor said most of the songs started as an idea from eric, him, or ricky. but eric clearly has an impeccable ear production wise and working under chris walla just sharpened that

  8. fucking hell that was some show. Foxing left a lot of themselves on that stage - their first Irish gig and they were clearly LOVING it. 10-song set didn't seem like that long of a headline slot on paper but Pianos got the same and Foxing arguably did more with theirs.

Also I need facial reconstruction surgery after seeing Gameshark live. There are laws against going that hard on a Monday, you know!

just ordered my ticket for their LA show at the Troubadour, ready to be ripped

also any way we can see the difference between the indie red and tour exclusive red variants ?

  11. Tour exclusive is red haze & multiple people, myself included, can confirm they did not have those for sale on the UK/EU tour - that's gonna be on sale at the US/CAN shows I reckon.

Probably sounds stupid but crown candy really is improved in vinyl. Just opens up that mix a ton on some of those busy spots

if i'm hearing it right... it sounds like eric does a lot of backup vocals throughout the album but the parts on slapstick and bastardizer are really the only ones where it's just focusing on him.

but, i'm pretty sure he does the entire lower octave in grand paradise? and lots of ooh's and aah's in other songs. and damn, they sound perfect together. i think if he keeps singing more often, then conor and eric could go down as one of the best vocal duos in indie/emo music!

    It's my mum's dodge caravan

I struggle to focus on albums as a whole until I'm really familiar with every individual song, but this is completely bucking that trend. Acutely aware I've hyped up albums before just for them to not have that much staying power, but there's something about this one that is entirely captivating in a way I haven't really experienced before. Wasn't even hyped for this, and only gave Slapstick a passing listen before release, so it's not just excitement. Very glad I gave it the time though.

It’s him, just super low and it’s mixed pretty low which seems intentional because he bursts out of the mix later when the song kicks off
