My deal is that I think I'm fairly likable after a few months of knowing someone. I'm not the person you're struck by immediately. I'm a desert island catch. If we were stranded together and they had to talk to me for months they would probably like me. But with dating in many circumstances there really isn't that opportunity unless someone is a coworker or friend first. It's why most of my friends are former coworkers because they had no choice but to be around me for extended periods of time. It takes me a few months to feel comfortable and show my personality. When I do, people generally like me, but it's getting people to stick around to see it out that is difficult.

Personally never dated anyone in the past with the same names, I don’t think it would be a huge issue for me either unless that name was tied to a dramatic/toxic relationship, which I could get over due time if I was ever in that situation.

 

I have a friend who married someone with her last name. Super common last name so they weren't worried about being related and she didn't have to go thru an annoying name change process after they got married so that's cool
