I honestly couldn't ever get into Foxing before but I'm pleasantly surprised with this album.

I think there might be something up with USPS's tracking system. Same thing is happening with me for the Gaslight Anthem poster I ordered. I got a shipping notification last Saturday and it shows it was accepted by USPS on Monday, but nothing since then.

I avoid it if I can. Especially since I have most things delivered to my office and it takes an extra 1-3 days to get to me (the building has a third-party service that receives all the mail from the post office, sorts it by company, then delivers it to the building. Then the building delivers it to each company, and then our mail room finally delivers it to me) but at least I know it (probably) won't get stolen.

This is very cool. The run of Heartbeats, Trapped in Dillard's, and Bastardizer is a standout on first listen for me.

  17. I listened to it for the first time today while working. Interesting vibe and not at all what I was expecting. I didn't catch much in the way of hooks on the first listen, which is, for better or worse, what usually keeps me coming back to an album. But of course I can't judge yet from one listen where I was half paying attention. Looking forward to spending more time with it.

I’d say the strength of this album is pretty clearly its textures, production, and sequencing/flow. It’s not going to be an album I come to for hooks, but I think it can be appreciated on its other merits

We reach for the longest shadow

at the same time though, its probably their "hookiest" album.

I’ve got slapstick, the title track, bastardizer, and a few others stuck in my head constantly so idk there’s some strong ass hooks

I guess it depends on what you consider a hook. I've had these melodies in my head all day

I mean, it's no Carly Rae Jepsen, but it's pretty catchy for experimental indie rock.

Maybe the hooks here just don’t grab me as much - I don’t necessarily think Dealer is any more intentionally focused on vocal melodies than this one, but I do think that album has stronger ones. The only songs really in my head after a few listens are Gameshark and the title track

Just because dealers hooks grab you more doesn’t mean this album doesn’t have hooks
