I like end of the tour a lot

speaking of A24, I watched Enemy a little while ago and really liked it. it was cool that I watched it late at night and spent some of the middle parts kind of in twilight, felt very apt lol.

 

Enemy is amazing. What an ending.

 

The ending scared the fuck out of me when I was really high

 

That's a movie I love showing people and watching it with them the first time.

 

yeah it really scared the shit out of me lol, did not expect

 

My friend absolutely hated the ending and was pissed at me after we were done watching it and proceeded to tell everyone else later that night that I subjected her to the worst movie ever.

A week or so later she texted asking to borrow it because she couldn't stop thinking about it and now loves it.

 

Enemy rules

 

That’s a movie where the intense misogyny of it makes it very hard to rewatch even if the director says it’s trying to deconstruct that way of thinking and doesn’t agree with it.

 

Te last several posts really want to make me watch Enemy. Where is it streaming?

I can't decide between Arrival and Enemy for which is Villeneuve's best.

Prisoners is easily his best.

 

I love it, but I don't think it has the heart of Arrival or the surrealism of Enemy, which is why I prefer those over Prisoners.

I'm down to watch 2049 again, but I doubt it could move up above any of his other movies. It looks and sounds beautiful, but there was little-to-no emotional connection there and the scene with K and Joi was so reminiscent of Her and wasn't nearly as interestingly done, combined with a story that was good but didn't leave me reeling just made it a good but not great sci fi flick.

 

I have added so many new things to my queue. Maybe I need to add this Enemy business

I haven't seen it yet obv but the concept of Insatiable is so frustrating. I hate the idea of losing weight for revenge/getting revenge. Same with Khloe Kardashians Revenge Body thing. Or on the other end, the idea of someone "deserving" to gain weight because they are/were not a nice person. It's all v upsetting and normalized in media and its frustrating
