I mentioned this in another thread, but my wife recently left me for a number of reasons, one of them being that she wants to date other people and believes in open marriage. she's already on dating apps and going out with random guys. we've only been apart for a month.

I don't even know if I know how to date anymore. I'm 30 and my wardrobe is all band shirts lol

 

How long were you together? Regardless, one month out is not the time to be thinking about that lol

I definitely get suuuuper self-loathing thinking about things I’ve done/said in past relationships, like stuff way beyond the point of being able to rationalize it away. It’s extra bizarre to then think about how I felt about them early on, like me infatuated with them before actually dating them would have been in complete disbelief that I would ever take them for granted lol

 

Old Navy can have some surprisingly decent and cheap button down shirts if you’re into that

Do things. Like, activities, with friends or family or whatever. I’ve gone on solo weekend road trips before just to help keep my clear my head haha

My recommendation for generically nice and “adult” clothing will always be Kohl’s and Old Navy. They’re probably more expensive than Target (I honestly have no idea) but they’ve never disappointed me before

 

Kohls is always more expensive than I feel like they should be. They have nice stuff like I'm all about that Lauren Conrad line, but I feel like their branding is cheaper than they actually are.

 

I had conflicting thoughts about if someone appeared interested in me and then I realized it didn't matter because I probably won't really see them again anyway. That's my riveting non dating life

 

Yeah in my head when I think “Kohl’s” I put them on the same level as a Target or WalMart but they’re lowkey more on the level of Macy’s lol

 

there's a Kohl's in my area, it's the ugliest ass building in the ugliest ass lot in the ugliest ass part of town

it's also where I get like, 60% of my clothes

 

I don’t know if I can properly articulate this, but whenever I say “Kohl’s” outloud I say it in this big cough/wheeze type of way cause that’s what it deserves.

 

I get that places like Kohl’s and Macy’s were just named after the original founder but the possessive apostrophe in company names has always irritated me for some reason

Also I always fuck up and spell Barnes & Noble with an “s” on the end of Noble. Barnes & Nobles sounds more natural to me

 

kohls is so expensive and i feel bad for making my mom buy me clothes there and at zumiez when i was a teen

 

My mom bought me clothes at Mervyns which was like the poor Macy’s

 

In high school I only wore urban outfitters or hot topic

 

kohls, hot topic and zumiez were the wardrobe forever

 

I got a ton of band shirts from Bob’s and most other stuff from Old Navy/Kohl’s/Pac Sun/JC Penney

 

my current wardrobe is basically sports tees, skater tees and like supreme/golf Wang and all my nicer shirts come from H&M because there clearance section is nice
