The first of many times I was called a "dumbass" on the internet was for saying Lost sucks, so that show holds a special place in my heart. It really sucks.

It really threw me into a rage tonight. After reading that report yesterday about the child dying in a detention center...fuck this administration and fuck this whole shitty system that keeps us in a perpetual cycle of puritanical, totalitarian, barbaric bullshit. I should update this story to mention that my mother in-law realized just how upset I was and told her husband to either turn it off or go watch it somewhere in private. He chose to hide out in his room away from the rest of the family on the family vacation because he was busy being “patriotic.” She apologized to me and I said, “if that’s what the Republican party represents, if that’s who they are, then know I will make damn sure my son never becomes one.” She got upset and I said “right now your husband is alone in his room because of his pride. That’s not the future I want for my kid.” She got quiet, agreed to leave me alone and to make sure it didn’t happen again this weekend, but her husband was on eggshells around me after that. We’ll see how the rest of this weekend goes. Can’t wait.

 

I fucking loved Lost, but i haven’t rewatched it in years and i won’t rewatch it after reading that. That’s gross.
