I was just texting about this with a co-worker but there was this lady there who was dancing AMAZING. She had all the moves and we were like dang. The guy she was with? A white dude who had no dance skills and was being a fool. I felt so ashamed like she is giving her all at least try dang it!!!

 

Also I am HEATED because all romcoms have taught me that I, an uptight cynical woman afraid of commitment, should meet some man who ~breaks down my walls and teaches me how to let loose and have fun and let my hair down but most importantly teaches me how to love. AND THATS NOT A THING. With every relationship my heart and soul dies more like it's almost as if these movie tropes are unrealistic or something

Ah man that sucks. Whether you keep contact or not is always a tough one. To be honest, in my experience, you're either going to get along after or your're not, but I don't think the concious decision makes much difference. Well, unless you sever all ties.

As for telling other people, I know how that feels. I don't know what the best way for you to do it is, but I started small. So I told a close group of friends that things were on the rocks, then started admitting it to my siblings and finally parents. Just working my way up the stack. It's not like you owe it to anyone else to tell them immediately, so take your time if you need it. Just remember that you might get some really awkward questions if you're too slow.

Idk idk so unfair! I was also under the impression I'd meet my soulmate in high school probably a best friend or former best friend that I didn't see romantically until we conspired in some sort of bet and then fell for each other, but that never happened either!!

 

I'm an active bumble user over the last 6 months or so and I've seen my cousin's fiance pop up at least 3-4 times since then. My question is, if she never de-activated or deleted her account from years back (before she started seeing my cousin), would her profile still keep popping up or does seeing her pop up a few times mean she's still actively using it?

 

not entirely sure but i think if it's deactivated that it wouldn't pop up but if she just uninstalled the app without deactivating it her profile would still show up

 

I see friends accounts on there that are very happily married so I think they just forgot to delete the account.

It's honestly wild that at the beginning of the year, my boyfriend and I didn't think our relationship would move forward and we'd become stuck, miserable at times and extremely close to breaking up. Mere discussions about possibly breaking up had us sobbing so we decided that we're much better together than not, and we'd work something out. Fast forward to now and he will be here, in my city, in my house, in 36 days! Long distance has been so fucking hard and it's not over, but we're catching a break and will feel like a normal couple, even if it's only for 10 days.

I want to thank everyone who's voiced support for us, reached out to me when I needed it and just believed in us. Dating someone from another country is totally crazy but it's worth it. We've never been happier than we are now, constantly talking about his trip and moving forward

I'm treating this thread as a friendship thread also but I feel bad because one of my co-workers is always trying to plan stuff out for our workers but like no one is really interested.

I guess he planned a night out at Cheesecake Factory and apparently no one showed up(I closed last night so couldn't go. Tomorrow he rented a cabin at the lake but like it's a 2 hour drive and people work so it's hard to do.
