Random soldier. Haha. It was probably Matthew Broderick’s character and no one gave a shit.

The only good thing about the ‘98 Godzilla was the two awesome teaser trailers. Well, that and the irony of them parodying Siskel and Ebert for not liking their movies in what is their biggest piece of trash. And the soundtrack bangs. Okay, three things.

The soundtrack had the P.Diddy song with the Kashmir loop, I think. Green Day was on it as well lol It was one of the only cassettes I listened to.

The Godzilla remix of Brain Stew is great. So are the songs from Jamiroquau, Ben Folds Five, Silverchair and Foo Fighters. It was a golden age for soundtracks.

One of the bands on the soundtrack, I believe they were called Fuzzbubble, the lead singer became a nurse and was my Mom’s coworker haha

The Wallflowers cover of Heroes is really good. That’s the only good thing about that movie.

Loved that Godzilla fighting game. There was another Big Monster fighting game with generic non licensed monsters form around the same time(PS2 era). It was awesome.

WAR OF THE FUCKING MONSTERS. Top 5 PS2 game imo.

I remember liking Destroy All Humans! quite a lot. Kind of fits a similar mold.

One of my favorite largely forgotten PS2 games is Psi-Ops.

Psi-ops was great, but the co-op was bizarre.

I had a few of them, but I definitely wore the shit out of my Godzilla vs. King Kong VHS.

Does anyone remember the movie with baby Godzilla? That was my shit as a little kid haha

Also, finally watched the trailer....holy shit. Can't wait.

Like others have said, I don't quite get the plot.

I always forget that Godzilla was basically my first fandom. Godzilla Vs. King Kong was an emotional experience for a 3-4 year old me. And then the '98 version, which remains a masterpiece.

I also remember playing Destroy All Monsters, which was pretty good, but the ace was always Godzilla Domination on the GBA. I can't say I played anything else. I really don't know if there's much you can do with it in terms of gaming. Maybe a game where you alternate between Godzilla and human based missions?

Anyway, I couldn't be more stoked about King of Monsters. That trailer is great. Not to mention Mothra, who's straight up beautiful.

And there are like 20 classified sites or w/e on the Monarch Science website, which is wild.

    !!!

I kinda like that the trailer doesn’t tell me the entire movie plot.

Godzilla 2014 is such a great movie, y'all.

I still remember the response to that film being so interesting. Like, I heard both Terrence Malick fans and Michael Bay fans praise it, but then a lot of people in between didn't.

Anyways, Jurassic World was boring crap. Haven't seen Kong, but it looked like fun crap. Haven't seen Shin Godzilla, which looked fantastic. And this one looks really cool, alleviating my concerns with the lack of Gareth Edwards.

The movie with Baby Godzilla and a young Japanese kid? That’s called Godzilla’s Revenge in America.

My immediate reaction as well. Everything looks cool, but like, no clue why all the monsters are here and the purpose of everything. Still pumped.

Yes! I don’t know why but little kid me loved that haha. Guess it was clearly aimed at little kids...

It was one of my most watched VHS tapes. I don’t know if I’d like it now but as a kid it was great. The plot was kind of ridiculous. The Japanese kid was bullied and somehow was being tracked down by two bank robbers and his journey with baby Godzilla (Minilla) helps him outsmart them or something.
