I'd love a 4 work day schedule. I'd be so much more productive and would really look forward to the 3 day weekend all the time.

My wife and I talk all the time about how we lament the fact that our country romanticizes the American work ethic and how we put down people who have better benefits or whatever. Instead of asking our employers/government to be better and holding their feet to the fire, we just shit all over other people and spread shame.

If one major company ever tried to do a 4-day work week, all those employees will get fucking roasted online and Fox News will call them burdens on our economy and shit.

I didn’t mean any of it. I actually have a 36 hour “traditional” work week, but since I’m a teacher I have noncommittal hours and shit that makes it longer.

When I worked as a substitute tech for my local school district, we had 4 10 hour days and it fucking ruled.

 

KPMG offers it as an option to their employees, as do a lot of tech and newer companies.

I've heard of a few companies offering a schedule where you split a team up into 2 and everyone works eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day every 2 weeks. So basically you get every other Friday off and the Friday you do work, you work 8 hours instead of the 9 you work every Monday through Thursday.
