Blackbird is one of the best Trio songs I’ve heard in a while. I’m so glad they’re back!

oh my god, I'm back on my bullshit Prestigious

If the rest of the album is as good as Blackbird it'll easily be top 3 for me

I'll throw it here : This Addiction and MSIT (included EP with that awesome track Pocket Knife) are my most listened for last 5 years but I wouldn't tell you which album is my favorite because I love them all....lord bless to Rock Against Bush comp and Warbrain that introduced me this band back in 2004....I was also very confused by their image as 13 years old kid

I create content for some of your favorite artists

whoever had FHTI as bottom tier Alk3 should be banned. that is a nuclear take

Warbrain is so, so good. Best song on either Rock Against Bush album.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

my favourite album is Good Mourning, where I think Matt and Dan were pretty much on equal footing as far as songwriting goes and their music informs the other's in a really nice way

having said that best release overall? I Lied My Face Off EP for sure. four of the best songs in this genre and they're on one EP, pure insanity

Yup, Good Mourning is #1 for me. The combo of the production being somewhat shoddy on the bass/drums, matt's vocals being shot, the imagery of the album and the lyrics, etc. all came together to create this perfect sound, where even the bright spots of the album still have a sort of dark feel to them.

I've said it all here before, but it really is the perfect example of a "winter album" for me...shit just works so well in the winter for some reason.

That being said, the A&I hate has gone too far you are all crazy! If it weren't for Live Young, Die Fast, and the mistake of making Into The Night the closer, it'd have a decent shot of being my 1b behind Good Mourning.....but it is probably somewhere between #2-#4 for me.

Nah, I just don’t think it’s very good.

There’s nothing they do on it that they don’t do better on the albums before and after, it has some of their worst songs (Stupid Kid, Another Innocent Girl), easily their most overrated song (Private Eye, which is among my least favorites of theirs as well), and possibly their weakest closer. Even some of the better songs are all but ruined by bad lyrics (e.g. the “if assholes could fly” part of You’re Dead, the outro of Mr. Chainsaw).

Basically the only songs I go back to on it with any regularity are Take Lots With Alcohol, Armageddon (a total earworm), and I’m Dying Tomorrow (the best song on the album).

    "some of their worst songs"
    "Another Innocent Girl"

this literally does not compute for me, like I honestly cannot even imagine how someone would think this

and I agree with the rest of your comment too, Private Eye and the outro of Mr. Chainsaw are some of Matt's weakest, and the three highlights you named are all great, but.... what

The way Matt sings Private Eye on Past Live is hilarious and awesome at the same time tho haha

Man how on earth could Crawl be close to weakest closer when Into The Night exists. I wish I could unread all of that basically. Stupid Kid is one of their weaker songs. That's all I'm giving there lol.

Just curious, am I the only one who discovered this band because Armageddon was on the soundtrack of Tony Hawk Underground?
