It would be really funny if they were holding on wave 2 to announce Taking Back Sunday.

 

AFTER they play here in Chicago next Thursday. haha

 

That's what I was getting at. With them being the third headliner. It would be a bit anti-climatic, but also pretty funny (from my perspective, anyway).

 

"a bit anticlimatic" would be the understatement of the year, haha. they wouldnt even be on the headliner column of the poster, let alone actual headliner! haha

 

That’s why I’ve never understood the “NOFX was the third headliner” rumor.

 

There's a few acts in that column this year that I never would have pegged as being a "headliner." I could see TBS being on that poster between Interpol and Blondie (or between Blondie and Alkaline Trio).

Granted, I don't think they're the headliner. But it would be funny as hell if they were. It would be nice to see them there for once without having a conflict with a major headliner...

NOFX, though? Definitely not. And I've never understood that rumor either... If they were to go on hiatus for a few years and come back maybe, but even that feels like a stretch.

 

i guess i could be way off but if i was putting TBS on the poster, id think it be somewhere between sum41 and bullet for my valentine

 

New Joyce Manor record drops the 21st Sep, could be a 2nd wave add if they haven't already been ruled out.

 

They just announced new tour dates today. They're playing the Vic on October 20th, so they're out.

Honestly, I could see them being anywhere from just above Sum-41 through the middle of that top line (well, the leftmost column).

 

With warped tour today hopefully we get wave 2 announcement Monday or Tuesday

 

Will be curious to hear if any of the bands drop a hint (e.g., "We'll see you all again in September!")

 

non of the bands i saw said that but a few said they would be back soon and state champs is going on a early 2019 usa headline tour

Blink announced shows in Columbus on Saturday and Grand Rapids on Monday. I think it’s safe to say they’re on Sunday.

 

Blink in GR?!!?!?!?!? Hell yes!!

I'd also assume that means Travis is well on the road to recovery...

I'd guess Friday. Matt could fly in just for that.

I really hope they don't play on the same date. I can see that really straining Matt's voice.

 

I don't know US geography, but I was thinking blink play friday at Riot, saturday on Ohio and monday in Grand Rapids, with that schedule Alkaline Trio would play on sunday

 

THat could make sense too. Grand Rapids is about 3 hour drive from Chicago.

 

Doesn't seem likely Blink will do an aftershow now

I can't imagine Trio not doing one

 

Blink has Friday listed on their web site now. Making me even more curious as to who the headliner will be on Sunday...
