My love for Identity and Illusion counters my indifference toward Artist. I can't help it if I was disappointed after Illusion changed my universe. Once we learned that they were rushed to put that record out (along with their mix complaints), it only made sense why it didn't click with me.

probably not me.. even though I do see these guys EVERYTIME they come through, and once I started collecting vinyl, I spent 90 on the alchemy index.. oh and I LOVE every album from artist on.. my main issue is Im not a fan of the early stuff which hurts me in number one fandom..

Heres the real question outside of thrice where does artist sit on your all time list?

 

Listen fan number 523 (yes, disliking Artist, Broken Lungs and songs off M/M puts you back that far), I'm not here to listen to excuses. You are either the number 1 fan or you aren't. You'll never beat me for the title now, because I love it all.

Riley mentioned in an AMA once he played everything on "Seneca" and the last minute and half of guitars on "Death From Above". Hopefully he had a shot at stringed instruments again on Palms, seems to able to create these nice little ambient grooves when given the chance.

 

Andy Wallace is really fucking good. John Congleton is also really fucking good. Relax.

 

He writes a bunch of their music so I'm sure he tracked some strings again. Then again, he's super busy these days.

 

One of the many reasons why I love this band is that they're good people. It's been validated time and time again in situations where they weren't on the clock.

 

That whole Mars Hill era can really pound sand tho.

Eh. We knew how fucked that church was way before he and others wrote that letter in 2014. So, yeah, that whole era can really fuck right off.

 

i know its not a cool album/band to rep, but city of evil is one of my favorite albums of all time and andy wallace's mix on it is fucking incredible

 

both wallace and congelton have legendary discogs.

 

When he first joined, I remember saying to myself, "If anyone is going to expose this organization for what it is, it's him." It's incredibly disappointing that the victims were virtually ignored prior to that, but it was always going to take someone on the inside to finally bring it to its knees.
