    what a waste of wood

Hazeltons is a god tier JV song and wildly enough isn't even my favorite on that EP.

I was really jealous of people who got to see one of the solo shows. Was surprised when I heard so many complaining because they didn't get the full band but I kind of understand.

I've seen them 4 times since November. Will be 5 next weekend after MOPOP. Cannot wait for that fest.

And welcome to thread. It's always fun to have somebody to gush over JV with.

Agreed! Believe it or not Frail Sail may be my favorite on that record.

Yeah I understand why some people were upset, I assume they never saw BI full band yet so that would be a bummer. I thought it was a treat and enjoyed it thoroughly. Fortunate to have been gifted a front row seat via Reddit. Incredible.

Damn, I wish I had the opportunity to catch that many gigs this year. Not much east coast action so I'm hoping for some shows coming this winter. Mopop should be tight, heard rumours of big red machine making an appearance!!! Enjoy!

Tonight was my 9th? time seeing them and I’m not sure if I’ve heard them play as good as they did tonight. Definitely the best based on just JVs vocals. They were so crisp and confident.

The crowd was fucking awesome too which was kind of a surprise. Was expecting a lot of drunk people yelling “SKINNY LOVE!!!”. Detroit showed him some crazy love and he seemed genuinely happy. He was having so much fun and the good vibes were infectious.

It was pretty insane. To be honest, I would have preferred if there was at least a few songs that I already knew in the setlist but this was stunning. I wish I knew the song titles off the top of my head but there was one where Justin screamed and had a legit guitar solo. Another bluesy one where his vocals were probably the best they’ve ever been

First one you mentioned is ‘The Jig’ and it was also played at Bonnaroo. Second one has been referred to as ‘R.A.H.’ in some reviews (right at home)

Here's the one with the solo

His vocals are getting better and better. Really wish I could see one of these shows but I'm glad I got to hear "Hey Ma" and some others a few weeks back.

Apparently JV played a solo set at Levi's Haus of Strauss in LA. Snail Mail played after him and then Snoop DJ'd.

People mad on twitter because he didn't play any classics... lol?

It was heavily advertised as a performance of all new music with a dance ensemble.

It even said it on the marquee?

There's a few actual gospel songs and gospel sounding songs from DeYarmond Edison - Live @ The Bickett Residency.

Have you ever listened to "self-record" from JV? There's some similar stuff on there as well.

if the PEOPLE instagram account liked @715creeks instagram video of me dancing to Big Red Machines, what are the chances Justin Vernon has seen me dance?
