Such gold used to be so good. Those first two eps were incredible. Definitely lost a good amount of steam after that.

Misadventures is my favorite release, new sidewalk was a little too technical and the new ep is even more so

weird as this sounds but i think in general bands that feature guitars prominent in the mix have fallen out of favor. was listening to a bunch of home grown/fenix tx etc and the guitars are so loud in the mix, listened to state champs right after and it sounded so muddy and not very interesting, more focused on the singer

They transitioned from being a POP punk band to a pop PUNK band which bodes well for literally only the Montreal market haha

haha that's very true. I don't know what it is about Montreal but they LOVE their PBR-soaked flannel punk

orgcore bands have greater lasting popularity than pop punk bands tbh

Probably a fair statement. I think a lot of it has to do with the demographics. Pop-punk is typically a genre enjoyed by people in their teens or early twenties. At 29 I feel ancient going to a pop-punk show, unless its like NFG or something.

Nfg still pretty popular? How big venues they play?

They still fill/sell out 1000-3000 capacity venues. I’ve always found it really fascinating. I LOVE NFG, but I’ve always thought of them as the lesser-popular band of the early 2000’s pop punk bands

Yeah that surprises me . So is a day to remember way bigger than them?

ADTR is way bigger than most bands in this scene. They're kinda stuck in this middleground of mainly associating with these "scene" metalcore bands still, but having the wider appeal of the "mainstream" radio rock bands like Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Halestorm, etc.

They sold our House of Blues Boston on their most recent run, and that place is easily 2k capacity at the least.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

ADTR could easily be direct support for the right band for an amphitheater tour.

They did that two years ago when they opened for Blink

I could see ADTR doing an Amphitheater tour next summer once Warped is gone. They could easily stack a lineup and even do a small side stage to make it more like Mayhem. Something like ADTR, Rise Against, BMTH, Papa Roach, Parkway Drive, Neck Deep with a side stage full of bigger metalcore/pop punk fans. That would easily fill huge venues. I'd be shocked if something like that doesn't pop up.

Just listen to all of Homesick and What Separates Me From You. They're both generally regarded as their best work by most people and good start places.
