FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Acting like Mark and Travis are disingenuous continuing the blink name when Tom is constantly like "hey I'm the founder of blink, invest in this company that has nothing to do with blink and has zero chance of any return on this investment" is hilarious.

With that said,I won't make a fun of Tom or putting him down because I still love TOYPAJ,Boxcar and Untitled the most.I just don't like what came after and his behavior around all this Blink drama. And hell yes,I enjoy Skeebs in Blink more than anything Tom related after Untitled

  3. I love PLG but yes, no one talks about mercenaries enough. Only song worth going back to on TDW for me - however I still hardly go back to it.

I think the last thing I enjoyed from Tom was that Diary song.

I never said disingenuous. I simply believe they care more about continuing to make money & being famous than Tom does.

I think that may be the case for Travis. I really do believe Mark cares about blink and it’s legacy.

  7. post Blink, the only Tom songs I go back to with any regularity is "Mercenaries" and "Endless Summer" (after I skip the long and ridiculously pointless intro)

Its ok to not like Tom, but I find it crazy that people think he hasn't written any quality work since the reunion.
From AVA, ya'll should check out Diary, Mercenaries, Overload and Bullets in the Wind.
From Blink, did everyone forget about When I Was Young?? I love that song!
Also it wasn't really my cup of tea, but everyone else seemed to love Wishing Well....which Mark even confirmed was 100% written by Tom.

I like Golden Showers but mainly for the music rather than the lyrics.

It's def. a tough situation for Mark and I sympathize with that but I'm also of the opinion you can't respect/care about the legacy and continue the band without Tom. Maybe Matt should've joined so they can tour when Tom is unavailable but I think putting out records as Blink-182 without Tom being involved isn't respecting the legacy? Does that make sense?

I think quitting the band (twice) is kind of a massive middle finger to the legacy of the band, esp when that person uses the name to promote his cult, er, academy or whatever.

They really hurt their legacy by having a number one album. Meanwhile I don't know if even one casual fan knew Dogs Eating Dogs came out lol.

That's kinda my point though? I also have the opinion they should have just stayed broken up since 2003 and gone out on Untitled.

Proving my point once again. Mark really cares about being on the radio and staying relevant, which means bringing in songwriters and people like Feldy.

True, being on the radio had absolutely nothing to do with their legacy. Number one underground band of all time! Lmao are you kidding me?

As if a producer wasn't massively important to blink's success until Feldmann lol

The amount of revisionist history with how the band operated before California is mind bogging.

You can write good music without being on the radio or having a number one album? Not sure why you don't understand the point I'm making here..

I'm never a fan of the "think about the legacy!" line of thinking. We're here to live right now, to be alive, human, and create. Thinking about some immaterial, "idea," of a legacy seems to put people in boxes and restrict who they are, what they want to do, and I think it's silly. Fuck legacy, strive for happiness. Mark's happy. He's creating music with friends and I'd much rather the "legacy" of Blink-182 be that goal, that mantra, and have a few people not like some of their music ... all the while they're still introducing new people to the band every year. And they're getting to enjoy and experience one of the most important bands in my musical journey, and, hell ... life.

"Legacy?" Bury it. Kill it if you have to.

I like that, and I think most people would agree we wish it would have worked out with Mark & Tom remaining friends and making blink work. I suppose I get too hung up on wishing things had worked out differently with all of this.

I am curious why no Tom or Matt pop figure though. Too confusing?

  23. My guess is that you can't do Tom while he's not in the band, it would be weird, but at the same time Matt wouldn't sell nearly as much. Probably Funko's decision based on market research.

I kind of feel like not many people still don't know who Matt is. It's kind of mind boggling at this point.

On that point, I wonder if there’s anyone in 2018 that goes to a blink show without knowing that Tom is gone
