its just infuriating. my friend reads the stranger seriously and i just know shes gonna bring this shit up because she knows how much i hate jordan peterson. always bringing up stuff like 'cancel culture' and wanting to hear the other side shit. yeah cancel culture can be toxic but some of it is valid and you don't like it because it challenges your privilege. just upsetting.

 

Just read this and, my goodness, there seems to be A LOT of benefit of the doubt afforded to a man who seems to have done nothing to earn it.

My 14 month old daughter picked up a Moana doll at the store and basically begged for it, which of course I caved. First thing my neighbor said (who has a daughter the same age) was 'she didn't pick one of the blonde ones?'

This is what people aren't understanding...THAT is racism. If she is showing her daughter that the Blonde dolls are the pretty ones, or her daughter picks Pochahontas, and the mom directs her to Cinderella...that is installing the belief at such a young age, that white skin, blonde hair, blue eyes are the basis for beauty. Makes me sick.

(yes I confronted my neighbor and drove this point home)

Just wanted to say that if you’re looking for a crazy movie to see this weekend that’s vocally anti-capitalist and pro-union, check out “Sorry to Bother You.” Not a perfect movie, but super imaginative and has a great message and parody of an Elon Musk/Peter Theil type.

 

I've been wanting to see that movie. I will follow Steven Yeun anywhere

 

My niece was just in Disney Land and according to her mom's instagram met every Disney Princess and wore every Disney Princess dress.
