I’ll Be Damned, I’ll Get By, Such Confidence, Hiding, Ripple Water Shine, Repine, Fake Lighting, Bitter Red, Love on Repeat, Cripples Can’t Shiver, and Young Fire are some of my favorites. I think Hiding is their best song.

If you think BTBAM screams too much, don't listening to anything before Keep You.

Do people not like You Got Spirit, Kid? I never see it brought up in discussions about that album. It’s a jam

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

I have a love/hate relationship with it. I dig the chorus, but that's about it.

Definitely the worst track on TCBTS for me.

So beneath them as musicians. Way too poppy

Writing a concise pop song can be as impressive as writing a 10 minute prog song. It’s not my favorite of theirs but it’s a fun song. Young Love is my least favorite on The Color Before the Sun.

Weird vibe to that album. Love atlas though. That song never gets enough love in my ipinion

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Can you list some of your favorite bands and reasons for why you think they’re good? I just want to see your ideology behind what makes music good to you

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

the music video for You Got Spirit Kid is the band's high point tbh

    their.... crowing achievement

YGSK is a great song. Loved when they shot confetti and had the rotating lights turn to read "FUCK" during that song on the TCBTS tour

The final cut or the end complete are some of their best work

YGSK is fine and fun. The Audience is the real clunker on that album, along with Young Love.

You've Got Spirit, Kid is fine. That's all it is. It's catchy and their first real single that diverted from the story, so while I'll always find it dumb, its at least hummable and not terrible

Terrible is Young Love, the riff that never should've even made it off the demo pile

Young love might be the most hated Coheed song . For my favorite band, I don’t see how they thought it was a good idea to put it on the album lol

How about some love for the sstb? Not one bad song on that album

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Obviously they did it purely out of spite.

For the life of me I don't understand why YL is singled out so often, other than just people enjoying piling on. There are several other subdued/acoustic songs on the record (Colors, Ghost) it fits right in with, none being particularly stronger or weaker than the others. I enjoy the riff/melody, although it doesn't exactly have a climax or go anywhere.

Guess I've got a soft spot for some of the most loathed Coheed tracks (Guns of Summer, too) even while disliking others that are viewed more favorably here.

Ghost is one of the most underrated songs in their catalogue in my opinion. It’s not that I don’t like Young Love, it’s just doesn’t do much for me.

Colors and Ghost don't do much for me either admittedly, but Young Love is obnoxious right from the opening - I could've handled the rest of the song if it weren't for that 3rd grade guitar line, its like a mosquito flying by your ear every few bars

It's a shame because I really wanted to like TCBTS - great album title, great album cover, cool design, interesting song titles for Coheed, first deviation from the story, the whole package just had me interested - but I found very little interesting about the music at all

Guns of summer is a good track . Last album was just ok, and for Coheed, we are used to mind blowing music
