    “The greatest teacher, failure is”

I went to Lebrons first 40 point game ever in 2004 against the Nets two days before my birthday. I went to his first game winner against the Wizards his first season in the playoffs where he made a baseline layup. I went to Game 6 against the PIstons where he took us to the NBA Finals for the first time ever. And probably around 40 or something games in his career. He gave us a chip. He fulfilled the prophecy. He and the 2016 Cavs gave me one of the best days of my life and brought our city together. In my opinion the best to ever play.

I think its unfortunate the Warriors had to be the Warriors right now. I think LeBron could easily have 5 rings now if not for KD joining them and making them the most stacked team in history. This couldve gone so different if he had not joined them or beat him that year when OKC was up 3-1 on the Warriors. I think we wouldve won the next year. Kyrie might have not left. And Lebron wouldnt have left if we were winning. And even when LeBron came, we still had Kyrie to look forward to after LeBron. Now Kyries gone (seemingly because of his rift with LeBron). Then a year later, Lebron leaves and now we really have now we really dont have anything but a crap-shoot draft pick and a few solid young guys. I can definitely see a drought coming due to the fact that free-agents dont come here. A lot of heartbreak in the last 4 years and more to come, but that 3-1 comeback and being able to watch the GOAT again in a Cavs jersey for 4 years was all worth it for me.

I wish he would've went somewhere where he had a better chance to win it all for years to come, but hes more than earned his right to do whatever the fuck he wants. Will continue to root for him. I hope hes able to topple the Warriors.

    Go :cavs:avs!

It’ll be longer than that. His son is heading into 8th grade, so we’re 5 years away from him graduating high school. From there, the one year in college rule will have to be abolished for him to go at that point. Otherwise, you’re looking at 6 years down the line.

  4. Pretty sure they’re getting rid of one and done fairly soon. But still, 5 years ruins my math.

Fuck, looking at what the Lakers are putting around him compared to the Sixers is just hilarious. This move for James is clearly more than just about basketball.

  6. Is Lebron gonna pick a third different number for his third team?

Joel Embiid is a silly way to spell Jayson Tatum.

(Really though, that's an incredibly dumb take. It's Giannis by a mile.)

NBA's one-and-done rule unlikely to change ahead of 2021 draft

Also, wasn't Adam Silver saying recently he wanted to increase the age to 20?

I feel like this is the top eight, with maybe one surprise team. I would not be surpris d to see these in basically any order tho. It’s going to be a mediocre bloodbath.

I mean, Bronny still has 2 years after that.

Silver has been very conflicted, but seems like he's ready to change the rule to let in high schoolers. Many people have suggested a plan that allows entering the draft out of high school or having to stay in college two years. There was just so much back and forth with the early failures of some HS players and wanting to appease the veterans who are there to mature and guide young guys. They ultimately want to help the NCAA with all the violations you see with these one-year elite prospects.

I can't even count how many times I've seen LeBron live...200? Easily. Went to every single one of his home playoff games his second time around, most home playoff games during his first stint and a good 15-20 regular season games per year while he was here (my dad is a 30-year season ticket holder...#Blessed). Definitely going to miss that electric atmosphere each and every time I went to the Q. We weren't just watching a winning team, we were watching the great player to ever live and there was just magic in the arena every night. Difficult to explain. People traveled from all over the world to come to Cleveland to see him play. We'll never ever ever have anything like that again.

The Warriors ruined everything. I fully believe that LeBron intended on staying here forever when he came back (as he said he was going to do...countless times) but there are two things that maybe he didn't envision: 1) Him being great for as long as he has been and obviously 2) the dynasty of the Warriors (which no one saw coming in 2014). When he signed with Cleveland for the second time, he was entering his 11th year...I bet he probably figured he'd only play 4, 5, 6 more years at that time. I wouldn't be surprised if his continued and even excelled greatness surprised him. Guys, he's entering his SIXTEENTH season and he's still the best player in the world. Absolutely mindboggling to wrap my head around.

The Kyrie aspect is definitely depressing. I used to always be optimistic that even when LeBron left (err, retire here) we'd still be in great hands with Kyrie at the wheel and even still Kevin Love and build off those two.

The 2018 Cavs are positioned FAR BETTER than the 2010 Cavs to rebuild. Sexton may not be a stud, but at least we have a young, talented rookie on this team. In 2010 when LeBron left, we had no draft pick at all. I fully expect the Cavs to deal Love, JR, Korver and Hill for assets between now and the trade deadline. JR, Korver and Hill all are on non-guaranteed deals for 2019-2020, which will appeal to many teams throughout the league. Beyond that, the Cavs don't have many players signed past next summer, so they should have some cap space. Obviously, no superstars will come here, but assuming we keep our top 10 pick (which will likely be anywhere between 1 and 5) in 2019 and sign a few guys, we should be somewhat competitive in the next 2-3 years.

Orlando gunna sneak in there. One can hope. I believe in Magic still. If Magic Johnson can do it, so can Orlando Magic.

Windhorst just said on ESPN Cleveland that the Cavs have told Love they want him to stay and that Love wants to stay.

    Ugh.

Is Love good enough to make the Cavs the 11th worse team in the NBA?
