Alto’s Odyssey is on sale today. That was really, really quick.

 

State of Decay 2 is at 3 million players. That is wild. Game is amazing, really enjoying it.

It's weird to think, but I have a feeling two MS exclusive first party games will be in my top 5 this year. Which.....never happens, usually 1 makes the top for me.

 

I honestly can't remember what I've played that's come out this year besides God Of War.

 

I should probably give God of War a shot...

 

So I had no stake in the franchise. Never interested me and I played the first one when it came out. It was whatever to me so I never followed it after. I bought this God Of War because I heard it was different and wanted to avoid spoilers.

Absolutely fantastic game. Really engaging and the writing is top notch. It makes me care about more than just Kratos and it makes me interested in the world as a whole as well which is really cool. I'd recommend it.

I actually plat'd the game because I was having such a good time with it.

 

This is me. Never cared or was interested in franchise but the good buzz has me curious.

Think I'll snag this and give it a shot. Thanks, man!

 

PS4 God of War is easily the best iteration for me.

 

I was incredibly surprised. It was also a really weird feeling having that kind of game where there's no load times and such. It made for a much better experience.

It caused me to have to choose my next game very carefully because it was just going to be a much lesser experience in comparison haha.

 

Not sure if I've played anything from this year other than GoW. Decided to not get new games at release this year unless I really want them cos backlog.

EA deserves nothing

 

I have a friend who works at EA and it's always funny to me how hard he defends them after watching all his friends/coworkers leave for other companies.

 

Playing through the Xbox One version of Nier Automata. I have a One X and a 4K TV so I wanted to see how it compared to the original PS4 version which I thought looked fantastic despite its occasional framerate dips. (i still have a standard 500gb PS4 from 2015) So far, the framerate is a bit smoother and having HDR does make it a little easier to see what you're doing/where you're going. Playing it with an Xbox controller does feel a little weird considering that I got so used to playing with a DualShock 4 but it still controls just as well as it did on the PS4. Overall, highly recommend getting if you're an Xbox only person because it's a fucking fantastic game, and I'd still recommend getting it if you're like me and have both consoles because, well, I don't know about you but I'd play the game a trillion times on any system. And the improvements it has are nice.
